How waterproof is it?  I don't remember or didn't see what it had to say.

And why do they call it Market Scale?

Here the link for the Axiom including the owners manual:

Also, @Steve Herschbach or @Gerry in Idaho do either of you know how it does on burnt carbon for noise, like we'd find in Northern Cali with the fires each year?

Jennifer,

I believe they said in the announcement that it could handle high carbon coke. Coke is usually hotter than any burnt out stump holes.

So question to those in the know... I've been drinking the Minelab Kool-Aid for so long I've lost touch with other brands..... is this Whites technology per say or legacy Garrett or a combo of both (like the cool choice of audio).

I have several areas on my property that have burnt carbon (old timer camp fires I suspect based on the solder plug hole bottom cans etc) and if this didn't groan that would be awesome.

Jen

It looks like they used the ground window we developed for the GM24k. Instead of tracking one ground point it tracks multiple and opens or closes the window depending on how variable the ground is. Great way to add stability in areas with hot rocks or variable ground.

If I heard correctly, it sounded like it could track out ground and a hot rock as well... interesting, that'll be nice down here in Gold Basin.

Sounds like basalt hot rocks will be easier to deal with, the battery is internal though. Also another hot screen to view in the sun. I made a extended shade cover out of craft foam and velcro for my other detectors, they work well.

Ok.. someone has to winge, it might as well be me but I'll only say it once and not whine about it... just looked at the coil selection and I would LOVE to see a little Sadie size coil for it as well, right now 11x7 seems to be the smallest... but I'm over the moon that they have such a great range of ellipies, that's all I use down here in all this scrub, usually an 11x17 Evo.
