Makro Gold Racer Coil Cover

Howdy

Have hunted around quite a bit for a coil cover for the ROUND 5 1/2 inch
Gold Racer coil. None found so far. The 5" diameter cover for my Fisher Gold Bug does not begin to fit.

Any advice?

Yeah, just go detecting and don’t worry about it. Chances of actually wearing a hole through the bottom are pretty slim, unless you are a gung ho scrubber. And even then, you could wait until significant wear is evident, then simply glue a very thin layer of plastic to bottom, to get back to where it was. But chances are it will never go that far.

I have never used a coil cover and never had any problems.

THANKS, Fellers!!   GOOD TIP, Steve!    I'm into do-it-yourself big time and just crafty

enough to make my own.  (Also crafty enough to tear up stuff too)!   

I seriously doubt I would ever wear down an original coil enough to hurt it anyway.

Serious Detecting sells the Gold Racer small round coil and lists it as 5" X 4.5".

They also sell the Gold Finder 1000 small round coil and a separate coil cover for it that is listed as 5" X 4.5"

The compatibility information on the coil cover's purchase page says it is compatible with the Gold Racer
