It saddens me to have to tell all that knew Rick Herron aka- RoadDog .. passed away on his birthday last month.  He was 58... I learned a lot from him about swinging a coil and what to look for in the hills.  He was quite good at sniffing out the nugget patches.  RIP - RoadDog

He was a very good hunter and made some fantastic patch finds in Nevada.  He came up to Moore Creek, AK with me on one of my Gold Hunting Adventures.  Then I recall he moved to Eastern Oregon and he stopped in at my shop for a few hours to catch up BS stories.

Sorry to hear of his passing as that is way to young.

Last I heard he had just moved back to Winnemucca this last Spring.

Very shocking and sorry for another young loss.
