Arizona Outback And Finders Forums Gone?

Recommended Posts

I’ve helped out Bill S. with a fundraiser on his site but he’s rarely on it anymore if at all too.  A couple of good and knowledgeable members are the only ones keeping it alive now days.  Bill keeps an archive of Jim Straight’s posts and a great meteorite thread alive on it, so I still visit often. But I have to admit I more often come here because of all the great information and help here.

The real tragedy with the closure/suspension of Finders is the loss of its Archive Threads/Posts, posted over some 22 years by genuine dedicated knowledgeable Prospectors..many now passed...Finders was fortunate to have Posters of the calibre of David De Havilland/Patches1 who was Author of iconic 'Gold & Ghosts' Books..a Treasure Trove of Australian Prospecting information and maps....Patches1 made literally hundreds of informative Gold Related Posts...others were Late, Janet/The Lady of The Lake who found much Gold on Western Australian Salt Lakes and willingly shared her knowledge ....Late, Chris Hake/Whitegum, a true Aussie Prospecting Legend from Kalgoorlie /Boulder WA environs..Chris posted thousands of informative and at times 'Robust' Posts..I have paid my respects at Chris's Gravesite in Boulder WA erected by Local Prospectors...he died in his 50's and much valuable Gold information died with him...beyond sad....Hoo Roo.

Suspended again..perhaps terminally this time..Finders has more Porn Links than genuine posts now...it has no Administrator, No Moderators, & No-Hope.....22 years of Archives will now be lost.....how could Finders hope to survive ,with its doors wide open to Offensive Porn Links.?..and no moderation whatsoever...it should not survive on this basis....beyond sad..
