Did a little research on the "Wellington" button, thought it might be a company.

Apparently these were created in honor of the Duke of Wellington after Waterloo in 1815. We had an invasion by the English here in 1814, so it's not a war of 1812 relic. The war of 1812 ended in February of 1815, and Waterloo occurred in June of 1815.

Must have been a post-war visitor who had these buttons on his coat.20221030_170308.thumb.jpg.0ebd958e1a9ffa9309841e4156b786a2.jpg

Wow, what a great day, F350, I hope you had your asbestos underwear on because you Were on fire! 😄

I also think the medal is a USS Maine commemorative. The original Maine (2-stack) was an armored cruiser and sank in Havana Harbor in 1896. In 1897, the US began producing 5 Maine Class battleships (3-stacks) that served until 1918, including the B10 Maine. Here's a photo:

So that could be a WWI commemorative medal.

Thanks Cap'n. 😀👍 Might just be "the win". 🏆 Most of these relics are 1800s, wish I could post photos of the house, it is magnificent and originally the road was "behind" it. It was later updated to the new highway, a new driveway and grand entrance. There is a smaller house across the highway that is very similar, it is owned by the same person.

Judging by what we've found here, this place has never been detected. It's a privilege, the owner is really nice, and disinterested in the finds 🤗

I looked carefully at the medal with a loupe, and the front flag appears to have a "B" on it. 👍

Both of these were on eBay, it's an 1898 BB-10 Maine Battleship token.

Outstanding, @NAGANTand @CPT_GhostLight. 👍 🏆
