That is real marketing, not hype.  Building on a genuine reputation.

Kevin was such a nice bloke, always happy to stop and talk, offer advice to any newcomer. He was still detecting right up until his health declined and he passed away a few years ago. RIP a legend.

Some Geology questions....

Why did this particular large sample of ore not become reduced like what is typically found?  Have other, larger than normal samples been found in the area?  Is The Hand of Faith more typical of what is found in hard rock mining of rich veins? Very interesting how Nature presents itself.

okay, let me read this?

Yeah, reading is good. So as a new member of the forum, tell me a little about yourself. What type of detecting and prospecting do you do, and what brings you here?

A nugget is not 'Ore'. The area where the Hand of Faith was found is renowned for large nuggets, in fact the Kingower-Rheola district is probably the most 'big nugget' field on Earth. 15/52 of all the nuggets found in Victoria over 500oz in weight came from this area.

Nuggets are formed via enrichment zones in quartz reefs from an intersecting 'indicator' vein (often high carbon or graphite rich). Central Victoria's 'Golden Triangle' has several instances of these veins as well as the  Ballarat Goldfield.
