Think you found the inevitable info leak.

Looks like the other Equinox is a 700 (now I can go back to work instead of waiting around for this announcement):

Well there you have it, new revised Equinox like expected, it will be interesting to see how they've handled the issues with the path they've taken especially with the coils ears.

I don't want either an Equinox 700 or 900.  I'm set on the Manticore.

I'm with you, that explains the price reductions.

yep, in Australia they're giving away a Nox with the GPZ or GPX 6000.

They'll be discontinued when stock runs out.

Hopefully for those that invested in all the coils and for Coiltek's sake the 700 and 900 use the same coil ear configuration (although improved thickness) to allow the use of the older coils on the newer detector.

An interesting, yet not unexpected play.  Doubt the new EQX models will detour Manticore buyers, so nothing for ML to loose.  I could see the 900 potentially eroding some XP D2 sales.

Well there we have it, a new -19 to 99 Target ID's Equinox with red backlight like the Vanquish, vibrating handle and telescopic shaft.  More depth on the beach was interesting, and slightly higher sensitivity.

Sounds pretty good, good to see old Equinox coils still work on it.

If I wasn't buying the Manticore I'd buy one as soon as possible.

The disappointing thing is the headphones are not standard Bluetooth, but will work on the Manticore. It sounds like they've done something like offset the frequency so only their headphones will work, not Bluetooth even though they're using a Bluetooth chipset in the Manticore, that sucks.

Not that I'm overly bothered, I don't use headphones.

  • The title was changed to Equinox 900 New Release Info

Interesting that on the Minelab website spec's, it shows KEY TECHNOLOGIES as Multi-IQ.   No Multi-IQ+ here.

Good for the upgraded control pod and rod. Hope the coil ears have been 'fortified'.  I'm going to be moving to the Manticore for the additional features, but this is a nice answer to the Legend and D2.
