Something silly started by my customer on a training trip 25 yrs ago after he found a 1 ounce gold nugget.  It's kind of stuck with us when big gold gets recovered.

The first one of those photos that I ever came across I thought to myself man those nugget hunter cats are gnarly! They carry dog biscuits in their mess kits!

I haven't noticed any knock sensitivity yet on my Manticore.

That's interesting and good to hear.  I'll need to take my 800 out prospecting, again, because it seems like I recall the 6" being more bump sensitive than the 11".  That may also be related to the differences between relic and gold modes, but I'm not sure.  Too bad there isn't a small coil for comparison on the Manticore, yet.

yes, the 6" on the Nox is more bump sensitive for me than the 11".  It's crucial to be well ground balanced to minimize the bump sensitivity with both the Nox and GM1000.
