does the external aa battery pack charge the gold kruzer

turns out it's an independent battery and does not charge the internal battery

Though it would be easy enough to use an external USB battery pack (like for a cell phone) and the charging cord to charge the detector if you are off the grid.

That's odd. My Anfibio's internal battery will charge from the auxiliary battery pack when it is connected.
