I did try out the Gold mode in a park a few times and it just pinged making every target sound good, so I haven't used it as it was intended. I too hope the update makes everyone happy, but would rather wait until it's fully cured and good to go than to have to do 10 updates to fix the updates and loose my custom settings each time. Sometimes faster is not better. Gold mode, poor sensitivity to sub 0.5 gram targets in every mode and the down averaging of non-ferrous IDs when targets are near iron or other non-ferrous targets. I only have the 9ā coil also. Where I detect the Nox 900, Nox 800 and the Legend are just deeper but they are using 11ā coils. The 900 and 800 are as deep using the 10X5 Coiltek. Ā But I still think XP needs to make an updater compatible for both Mac and Windows they need to make a permanent solution and take ownership. Ā Hello XP there is 2 main computer platforms out there in the market place. Ā If your competitor can do it so can you. Ā Itās like going to work and dealing with our programmers and they say I do not see the problem āall you have to do is and then this and then you do this and then hold your leg up in the air and then put your hands over your headā ā then you can run this piece of software. Ā Ugh most end users do not want to do those extra steps in the consumer marketplace let alone any market. Ā If XP wants to just stay with the Windows environment. Ā They should put a disclaimer on the box and website that in bold letters says Ā āBefore you buy we only support Windows based Machines for updates, but you can do these extra steps to run from a Mac on your ownā Ā bet they lose some sales. I need to get into native gold hunting with a detector.
