I agree, and the new price will probably breath a little life into what is now an old classic. Just $400 more than a Manticore. And in case anyone wonders why - the CTX is a finds hog with a 17" coil on large beaches and farm fields. Just be sure you are harnessed up for the long haul.

The Manticore is already the CTX price here, the new even if not better gets the bulk of the sales just because it’s new.

The CTX is the best deep silver machine I’ve ever used in my area, I’ll soon see how the Manticore stacks up  but the CTX has the advantage right away with the 17x13 inch coil with the Manticore stopping at 15x12 inch.

I’m sure the Manticore is great all round but I’ll be pleasantly surprised if it betters my CTX on deep silver.

The CTX was one of my most favorite machines for trolling for deep coins in hard hit spots. I may have to get another one.
