Video isn't edited yet. Maybe Monday. I'm going to one of my patches tomorrow.

It's still soaking in Muriatic acid, but here is a pic of how it is doing so far

I have the gold finished dissolving and I am thinking it may be a specimen. Maybe a nugget. Im kinda unsure if I should take it further to get this irony clay off of it. I only lost a microscopic amout of gold. It sure is coarse. Crystalline in fact. I'm not sure it is one solid piece or maybe so crystalline and fragile that it comes apart in two or more pieces. What do y'all think? Take it further or leave it alone the way it is?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but if it were me I would take it all off, as it is not that pretty. Worst that can happen is you end up with a little smaller piece and melted button. Looks pretty connected from pictures

There was a thin bit of gold connecting two large crystalline blobs. It broke in half when it was wrapped up in paper towel and sitting in a large bottle. I am going to go ahead and desolve the rest of the iron away.

Hey Reese,

Great video and beautiful nugget.  Hopefully the NF 12x7 coil on the way to you will give you great results also.  Per on phone conversation, make sure you carry a nice hair comb, they work wonders on flicking a cholla ball right off you (you don't have to grab it and the comb allow you to get good leverage and break it loose).

I have had many cholla ball attacks!

Keep giving it a beauty bath in Hydrochloric acid as you have been doing. Time is the main thing it needs, I left a dirty ¼ ounce bit in acid for a few months with no loss of gold, however watch it if the purity of the gold is low as my knowledge is only with 90% plus.

All of these nuggets had a long beauty bath in Hydrochloric acid.
