Like I said before the return time on return repairs is faster then getting a Manticore. Glad to hear they are covering it.

Manticore just arrived.  New machine with different serial number.  Fred is very happy.  I must commend Minelab for turning this around quickly.  Good for consumer relations.

Fred and I went hunting yesterday and after a couple hours he had dug a tremendous amount of iron trash.  He was getting discouraged but I told him it takes time to learn the machine and all its features and settings.  Finally he found a mercury dime at 7".  That really helped with his confidence and how he feels about the machine.

Tell Fred there is no need to dig iron unless you're relic hunting and want to. Manticore certainly tells you the difference between iron and a coin.

He will learn the 2D display and iron grunt sound....it's quite obvious.
