Ciao cjc, interesserebbe anche a me un piccolo aiuto, manuale, ho appena preso la manticore, provengo dal T2, quindi per me la manticore è un metal totalmente diverso dal T2 che sono abituato ad usare, potresti darmi consigli sul primo utilizzo?. Ps mi sembra di aver capito che stai scrivendo un manuale per cercare oro con la manticore, mi interesserebbe avere il tuo manuale. PS sono lino dalla Sardinia, Italy.

The Manticore is a very powerful detector.  Like many high powered multi frequency machines the various frequencies are manged by bringing them down to a highly controlled threshold.  This means that it's hard to tell when you have the machine turned up too high.  As well the Manticore is what can be called a highly "alertive" machine --that is it is hair trigger--and sounds off on a lot of things that are not solid metal.  The way to offset this is to always check your signals on the cross sweep for consistency.  As well, use your pinpoint button to get an idea of what size and shape something is.  Particularly, when something is high responding use pinpoint to check to see if it's a wide sounding iron response or something sharp and narrow--a good signal.  This  is not as easy as it should be with the Manticore in that the pinpoint narrows down "(ratchets)" with each swing.  You sometimes have to start fresh to  get a good idea of what is  going on with a target.  These simple basics will help you to  mediate the Manticore's  power and develop your accuracy over time.  Anything else is just guesswork.  Also practice hearing what size and distance from the coil variouus size targets are.  As well, take a single tester and use it as a "contstant" to  practice this "sizing by ear"  skill at various Sensitivity levels and  in the different audio modes / Themes.   I think that a lot of huntters who got away with a "hear and dig" strategy with the Equinox are going to have  a very  hard time with this machine.

There  are no "high tech" substitues for basic skills--combine the Manticore's  ID features  with these simple basics and you will get the most from this machine with less wasted digging.

sorry better with the detectors than  a go  pro...always end up getting my feet...
