Stef Digs made a 18 minute video on Pro Find 40 and done a good job of doing it. She stated that the 35 wasn’t going away but will be at a lesser price.

She done a side by side between the 35 and 40 showing the 40 did have more to offer over the 35 .

Go draw your own opinion on the Pro Find 40. I don’t spend someone else’s money .

Interesting but I wonder why ML still use 9V outdated batteries instead of integrated Iithium batteries which are rechargeable and much more reliable ... !?

Like myself due to other family member I haven’t had the opportunity to get out in a while to do any detecting. When this started I wished all my detectors had a battery I could remove.  The trouble with internal batteries you don’t need to let them go flat. After the first year and here came the second I sold everyone.. I even sold my Tarsacci but I sold it because the powers that be wouldn’t come out with a small coil.

Changing the battery would need a redesign with USB charging or whatever method along with extra production costs, a paint job and a slight increase in sensitivity was cheap to do and then they've got a new model number to encourage some sales.  I'd be surprised if the increase in sensitivity even catches it up to competitors but sure do want to find out, I love a good pin pointer so if Minelab have made it more stable and increased sensitivity to a point it's a good pin pointer I'd be interested, so if anyone buys one a good solid "customer" review would be nice, I'm certainly not buying one unless it proves itself to be good after the 35 proving itself to be rubbish.

I didn’t think anyone was going to stop this world and make it rotate the other way because I wanted it. The same goes with the batteries in the detectors we have now. I’m just saying what I like. I can wish until I’m blue in the face and when it turns red nothing will change.

When you get past a certain age nobody ask what you think anymore .haha

Rob,  I read your post on those pointers and you say "Great new pinpointer".  I am assuming you have been using it and are not having the same issues many of the previous models from them had?

I too enjoy a pointer (especially for coins/relics).  Of all the ones I have used and sell, the failure rate from this brand is just the worst.  I've gotten to the point, I don't even like selling them to my detector customers who actually use their machines.  Yes, the previous models are that bad.

Here's the great thing, at least we are getting another option.  Time will tell.

I know nothing about these, I'm a complete noob to all this, but it sounds like (watching the reviews) that one of the most exciting new features is the "Bold new color!" 🙂

I purchased the 25 and the 35, was/am very disappointed with both. I do have 3 Minlab detectors and like them very much.
