I do agree that ENTRY-LEVEL is a bit scary but, I have found that in the right ground some of those detectors work better.

Entry level for the Minelab product lineup of gold detectors. Do not take that to mean as how it compares to the competition. It is like saying the GPX 4500 is Minelab's entry level PI prospecting machine.

OK, got it.  So with the Eureka Gold being discontinued will Minelab cut prices to get rid of stock?  I always wanted to try one, how do they compare to GB2?

Not sure about Eureka Gold price cuts. They did that already some months ago. The Eureka is a very capable prospecting machine. The Gold Bug 2 has the edge on tiny gold, but the Eureka handles bad ground better and punches deeper on gram and larger type gold. The Eureka however has mainly been hampered by a old heavy design and high price. Even at discount it would be hard to find one new for less than the Gold Monster will retail for at regular price.

It is rain proof. The comparison chart I made was a mockup I made up best guess using the ones on Minelabs website and I did not want to put rain proof unless I saw it from Minelab. They have now confirmed it is rainproof.
