Minelab Gold Monster 1000 - New Introduction Video

I've never had a VLF.  Watching this with a lot of interest. My kids have been turned off detecting simply from the amount of nails and crap that they have watched me dig. More their size/weight too.  And I'd be happier with them carrying a slightly less expensive machine!!  Will be very interesting to see results from everyday detectorists.  

I can only assume that JP will have a review coming out on Minelab website soon considering he spent has spent some time with it.  Waiting patiently now

Thanks Jen, Chris, and of course, STEVE, for providing all of this new and in depth information.  Most of my concerns have been addressed, but the last, being, will the Minelab Gold Monster 1000 find gold for me?  We'll see!

One concern that I had was regarding the detector having a 1/8" female connection for the detector's headphones, and would I have to buy new headphones for the Gold Monster 1000, nope, this detector comes with headphones, BUT if you want to use other headphones having the 1/4" male plug, you will have to buy an adapter...

Even better I can use the headphones the monster comes with hiking in or at camp kicking back listening to tunes on my iPhone ?

1/8" jack doesn't really concern me and a 1/4" adaptor is easy to make up to run the lead out under the arm cuff.

what am I thinking? I want it wireless anyway.

I have the new Garrett Z-Lynk which I have been very happy with and tried on several models - report soon. It would work great with the GM1000 in my opinion and solve that whole issue.

....and I just purchased the Minelab Pro Sonic wireless audio system for my 5000 and I assume it also would be a great addition for this machine.
