The joys of prospecting near Rye Patch, 4 new tires and 1 tire pressure monitoring sensor (which got ripped off during the blow out) later. This is obviously a non profit organization, it wasn't meant to be, it just worked out that way.

I now own shares in Les Shwab.

That,s a bummer Jen,when ever I have been at rye patch I always had a least 2 spares with me

I always carry 2 RV/travel trailer spares and 1 truck spare. Oh well, the hobby can't always 'give', occasionaly it 'takes', it's all part of the deal.

It just means now I HAVE to find an ouncer to pay for these new booties, which are rather nice to know I have under me.

Ok AU, it's payback time!!!

Looks like your good to go now. A rancher of all people should know that I stock tires on new trucks always suck..not made for off road. Hope you find that Ouncer!

bloody destroyed would be a better term for that picture !

I did one like that on the old landcruiser at Fowlers Gap on the way to Tibooburra ,  nasty at nearly 3 ton and 65 mile an hour on the gravel .  Nice truck Jen ; that's the Toyota yeah ?   long wheel base would make it a job traversing some of our Victorian scrub ;but in saying that , I,m thinkin of goin Dodge Ram 1500 to replace the jeep when they bring them over here  cheers Jed

Hi mungass, I recall the roads were knarly on my last trip to Tib. Yes it's a Toyota Tundra, double cab, 8' long bed. Same platform in pickup truck form as what's know as the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 series down under (except we don't get the awesome diesel power plant)

Jen in a previous post it appears your latest 7000 update didn't fix your particular issues after testing at the Rye Patch.

Nope, made no difference but I resolved my problem..... I'm letting a fellow prospector in the park who only has a 2300 use it.

I've gone back to and will stay with my 5000, the Zed is in the junk drawer in my opinion.... no need for (or will be had by me) further discussion on the matter
