Equinox Speed Test Video

So far though..... All those videos are just air tests.....You can make just about any machine dance in air tests.

Have yet to see any real in the dirt performance tests... Or did I miss them?

Obtuse.  I don't want to be obtuse.

Dr. Tones is excited and he makes me excited.

Actually I did see that and must admit I was duly impressed.

The question is.... At what depth can this machine maintain this performance.

It will be interesting to see the real world tests and opinions when this machine hits the street.

So, it's been pointed out to me that the video comments say maximum reactivity (8) and multifrequency in use.

How deep does it need to perform on average is a good point.

Using a US dime sized target, let's posit the Equinox can perform with very good to excellent ID at an average depth of only 7.5" in most soils worldwide but quickly falls off towards unreliable ID and an average maximum depth of 9". That's a moderate expectation, I think. Let's also say it gains 30% more depth in single frequency

If the above were true and all other known specs considered, would it not slay everything near that price point?

I'm pretty sure my Deus and ATpro are getting sold off and replaced with this new Minelab.

You are wrong. Audio is not well made. Floating, drifting. No crisp, precise respond. IDis jumping... and iron range is very short. All modern coins fall into it. And you can't adjust range.

This is not very scientific the soil conditions, coin type, emi and everything else is different than the equinox speed video, but all that said the Deus running the factory Deus fast program at 54khz, iron vol 0 and reactivity at 5 with 7 nickels lined up and a big piece of broken pick point.

i added an earlier air test with the same settings on the deus, the location in my yard had bad emi fairly hot ground, the camera focus was off but the audio is more important. due to the soil and emi the depth was very poor. the pictures show the spacing on the nickels dimes and quarters, the depth sucked even without the rusty iron near the coins and the dimes suffered the most from masking, the nickels did a little better than the quarters, but the quarters were up against different iron objects so its not really comparable.
