klunker
I had a friend call and ask if I wanted to join him to detect a spot in Northern Nevada. He's been around long enough to know that January is not a smart time to be out 50 miles from nowhere in Nevada. It can drop to 0 degrees overnight and the weather can turn deadly with a gust of wind. He must think I'm some kind of fool or that I'm completely insane or a bad combination of both! I"ll let ya"ll know which it is when I get back.

roustabout
I'm thinking about a trip to northern Nevada this spring. When does the weather usually allow safe prospecting there? Also any information about where to detect would be appreciated. I need to get my AT Gold over some gold! Thanks, Paul in Spokane
klunker
Rye Patch is easy to access. There are some folks on this forum that know the country out there a lot better than me.
Sourdough Scott
I've been going out detecting for a few hours everyday for the last couple days here in Plumas county. The weather has been so mild lately. Only drawback has been the frozen ground retrieving the targets.
