MX Sport Comes Now With Waterproof Headphones

Recommended Posts

I was in a bookstore and pick up a copy of Western & Eastern Treasure mag. I flipped over to the inside of the front page and low & behold was a big blow up of the MX Sport. You may say what the big deal being I have one. What put me in a state of shock Is when I read Waterproof Headphones Included.

The price is the same as it always been. All I can say is people is if you’re looking for a great buy look no further. Look down in the left hand corner of the picture at the number of coils that White’s offer for the Sport.

I hear you Steve but this is my first time seeing the ad.

What can I say. You’re in the know and I don’t know.

I took a look at what you had posted. That was a year ago today as you said.

I was wondering being White’s include the waterproof headphones if they was including the adapter cable as before. So I trot right over their site and sure enough they do.

Question ; Is this the first time that waterproof headphones came with a waterproof detector ? Maybe not being White’s has one detector that has fixed headphones that I think I had one some time ago . Again I think this is the first you’re able to remove and use others.

Whatever the answer it’s a great buy even if I don’t have them .? Poor me!

Everyone knows how hard salt water can be on anything. I have four waterproof detectors and three with the cost around 8 hundred or more. Then a hand held under 2 hundred.  I’m like a kid getting into a bathtub not sure if he wants this or not. That’s the same way I am with my high dollar detectors.

I think that dollar two sixty nine detector with scuba gear will go first. Then if this venture pays off and I see it’s truly worth it . I’ll make my pick of the three.

Actually all underwater detectors came with waterproof headphones until recently because they were all hardwired to the detector! Like with White's Surf PI. It's only in recent years that waterproof connectors have become commonplace and reliable enough that we now have removable headphone options.

What kind of batteries ya'll use? I used to buy nothing but Duracell rechargeable, then in the last year I couldn't find any. I just bought some Rayovac with a charger, but they don't seem to hold a charge. I charged them, put them in, they showed full charge as I hunted for about an hour, then the next day only see two dots on the power gauge. I recharged them hoping they needed a break in, but they did the same thing. Now I have used them for 3 days, with only two dots showing, they don't seem to be going any lower, but I don't trust them. I just did a search and found a bunch of Duracells, I might of been looking for the same charger I used to have, that died, and couldn't find it. I hate to go spend more on a different brand...I didn't notice until now, the rechargeable's are 1.2 volt, whereas the regular are 1.5 volt, would that make a difference?

I don't want a battery pack, at least not a NiCad...

Well I received my December 2017 mag from Lost Treasure today and just on the inside of the first page is the new MX 7. This has to be the same detector that Tom has been swinging around with a orange ring around the face. White's is offering you a look at the detector by way of a video on their site.
The only thing said is a test was done with a 8.5 gram 14K gold ring at 14 inches saying gonna need a bigger shovel. I guess to find out more we all need to look at White's video on this detector.

Tom from White’s made a statement that the  color of the MX 7 had to do with the day it would hit the market.
All know that we see orange everywhere on Halloween. Now with that said will it hold true on the hint that Tom drop.
Maybe it could be what Halloween is all about and that’s Trick or Treat.
Intil tomorrow when we’ll all know.
