Arnold, California

So I've ended up in Arnold, California for a couple of days with a GB2.

 

Any recommendations for locations to detect within, say, 30 minutes?  It seems like there should be some due to the proximity to Columbia and Angel's Camp.

camp nine road in the vallencito area. Theres blm land down there...tweakers,wierdos and big bears too. Some blm scattered in Murphys area too. Some around new melones...but hear they are coming down on detecting there. Check Clays site...land matters...good luck,and be careful. Ray

That BLM ground could be claimed by others???  Unless it's been withdrawn from mineral entry?

Thats why I said to check out the vlaims maps...yes,I know they are not 100%. I do know there is some open land in the areas .
