Regret That I Sold It

Recommended Posts

I've been through some financial ups and downs over the last couple years, so I've had to part with machines that I would've otherwise kept. I miss the F75 LTD camo the most, but now I have a chance to buy one back. This is an original untouched camo LTD, no DST, so where I can use it, I'll have max depth. Things have finally settled down for me and now I'm going to start buying back the machines I want to have around. By the end of the summer I hope to be complete. Right now I just have 3 machines. The V3i, the AT Pro, and Bounty Hunter Jr (mostly for the little guy). Yes, I sold my Equinox 600 on Saturday, but only because I needed money at the last minute before I got back money I was due. I got a great deal though, like I always do. I got the AT Pro (still a $400 machine used), a 5x8 coil (easy $90 used), a sniper coil (easy $60 used), and a z-link system (easy $90 used), plus $200 cash. So $840 in real value for a $650 machine that I can use for the one I want. So by the end of the summer I want my collection to look like the following:

Whites Spectra V3i (have)

Minelab CTX-3030

Minelab Equinox 800 (on order)

Fisher F75 LTD

Fisher Gemini 3 or Garret GTI-2500 w/two box attachment (or possibly a super good deal on a Makro Imaging setup) feel free to offer advise

Fisher CZ-20

Quest Scubatector

Whites Bullseye TRX (have)

Teknetics Tek-Point (have)

(sorry Deus guys, no desire for that after using the Equinox, but I am holding out for what First Texas has coming down the pike)

The great thing is that the money I've patiently waited for is enough for me to more fully invest in becoming a metal detector dealer (new and used) and to go back into buying, selling, trading, repairing all electronics, computers and mobile devices full time. Electronics are my life and I was in the business before until my business partner gambled all the capital away at Turning Stone Casino. This time I'm running things on my own. And now I'll have all the treasure hunting equipment I need to arrange trips and hunts of all kinds. Life is going to be an adventure again, doing what I love to do most. I'm very excited today.

I always regret selling a machine. Just hate to let go of those great memories. Sometimes I buy them back and then realize those days are gone. Sadly, those old machines can't compete with new technology. I remember them as being better than they were. The only machine I will really have a hard time selling is the GPX 5000. The combination of the Equinox 800 for small gold and coins and the GPX for deep silver can't be beat on beaches in my area. But one day that too shall pass.
