Whyme
I found this button a few weeks ago and can't find it anywhere online. I can find the maker but not the design that's on the button. Anyone know? The obverse is a horse with a foal. Reverse says: TREBLE STANDD EXTRA RICH
wtaylor
These type of buttons are usually referred to as SPORTSMAN'S BUTTONS. Usually made in Britain during the 19th century. I think they are really cool. Here is a link to some undug buttons: https://www.bidsquare.com/online-auctions/woolley-wallis/nine-19th-century-brass-sporting-buttons-by-gosden-decorated-with-foxes-gun-dogs-game-birds-and-h-314377 Although usually not worth a whole lot it's still a Great find!!

Thanks wtaylor! I dug it in an old town park. It was a foot away from a very smooth large cent right near a large tree. That's my first old button ever! I just wish I could find a photo of it in good shape.
