White’s Please Remove Gag Order On Goldmaster 24K

Recommended Posts

Here is the response from the moderator and his response.....

So, whatever... I think they are still reeling a little from the MX Sport and the early problems they had with it's release.

The info you posted is "Dealer Only" and should not be released until 1 August. Some dealers and other sites don't honor the dealer agreement and "pre-announce" a new product. If something should change before the actual release date, it just causes problems.

Thanks for understanding.

I am still a White's guy and I really don't visit their forum that much so no sweat, It doesn't change my opinion of their detectors. I will continue to own White's... They do what I need done and do it very well.         :whites:

The video is publicly posted on YouTube. That means it has been released for general viewing by the public. I am also not a dealer, which makes that moderator response total nonsense. Maybe dealers can’t comment but everyone else sure can.

All companies know that telling dealers anything is going to leak. That being the case telling dealers is in effect a controlled leak because companies know dealers as a group can’t keep a secret.

I used to post on the official White’s forum just to help people with Whites products but got ran off for posting about the White’s Sierra Super Track. Not a White’s detector I was told, violation of the rules. That did it for me. The last place to go for the latest information on new Whites detectors is the “official” Whites forum.

However, this is a White’s forum also. I think good feedback is important and you guys are doing a good job at keeping it clean. Please keep doing so. Tom at Whites has been trying hard to improve things and the goal is to help him help us.

There are testers for the Goldmaster 24K and at some point we will hear from them. I was not one but that is not White’s fault. I have been busy on other stuff.

White's says Sierra Super Trak is not a White's detector?  Now that's funny :)--given that you can buy it direct from White's web site (at the now bargain price of $289.95).

https://www.whiteselectronics.com/product/sierra-gold-trac/

As stated by White's, "Similar to GMT but stripped down for ease of use and lower cost."

White's apparently prefers folks to buy the full-fledged GMT (at a lot more). I was actually considering the SST, which seems impossible to beat for the price, but now am thinking I should probably go with more up-do-date features (and maybe better tracking) and get either the Goldmaster 24k or Goldmonster 1000.

It was not White’s saying it but the White’s forum moderater. At the time it seemed Kellyco had more sway over the forum and the SST was made for sale only in the Jimmy Siera distribution network. Therefore Jimmy was “competing” with the dealers who were outside his distribution network, and those people were controlling the forum at that time. Steve Howard, good guy that he is, stepped in and corrected the situation but by that time I was irritated enough I left that forum. The rules have been loosened up since.

Interesting dealer politics.  Well, the SST at $290 is even more of a bargain now compared to the GMT.  But with the new GM24K here, it's a slightly different game.

Hi, I just had to register and reply to this thread. I own a Fisher Gold Bug 2, a Gold Monster 1000 and now a Whites Goldmaster 24K. Ive also owned a Goldmaster Vsat, Goldmaster III and a GMT. Having used all of these, I have to say that the 24K isnt the most sensitive of the high frequency VLF's out there. Right now, the old Gold Bug 2 with the 6.5x3" is still king of the heap and the GM1000 is able to beat that under some circumstances. BUT, the 24K has the smoothest ground balance Ive ever used and rock-stable threshold. It finds deeper sub-gram gold than all of them using that 6.5" concentric coil. I had the opportunity to run side by side with a friend using a GM1000 and although he got 6 bits of gold to my 2, all but one of them was under .05, whereas my 2 weighed .4gm. I also found 22 bits of junk, versus his 4. All of this was from a patch that has been completely hammered over 3 decades. Last few times I used a GB2 there, I got nothing. Methinks the higher coil power and the matched concentric coil along with the XGB tracking make for a very powerful new machine for small gold. I am very keen to try the upcoming 6x3 shooter DD coil soon as the 10x5 seems pretty good on hotter ground here in Victoria. I'll keep you all posted with my finds. One thing I MUST say about the GM1000 in comparison though....some guys here are using them to great effect by ignoring the basic rule of reducing sensitivity to allow proper ground balance. They run them flat out at manual 10 sensitivity and then cannot even ground balance....but on quiet or mild ground, the digital audio of the Monster eliminates much of the noise and the tiniest gold can be 'plucked' from the pops, clicks and farts of the SAT adjustments and hot rock re-tunes.....but only by those people who have their 'ears tuned' to the sounds properly. Me personally, these noises are maddening and I rush back to the smoothness of the 24K and listen for the bigger, weightier targets. Stay tuned for results here folks!

I've been looking hard at what to pair up to my F75 for jewelry hunting, specifically Micro jewelry hunting.   The Whites 24K is under consideration for this.  I like the audio boost features, the iron cancel, hot rock cancel and the non-normalized TID number spread.  I also like that it has a concentric coil offering.    I guess the main question is, will it actually detect micro jewelry good enough to make me choose it over the Goldbug II.
My Micro jewelry measurement target is a 3mm 4-prong 10k White Gold earring post.
      Any feedback is helpful.

I’m looking for input about these three machines on what you like vs dislike on each of these detectors.
Me, personally since I do not own or even seen any of these detectors will even give my own likes vs dislikes.
GM1000 - I like how it is a very hot machine capable of finding small stuff and how I hear it is a turn on and go detector with only a ferrous/nonferrous indicator. I don’t know how it reacts to hot rocks or if there is away you can avoid them. The best part about these three is I hear it’s the simplest to use(thinking about my dad who is interested but doesn’t have the patience to learn machines if he ever wants to use one of mine)

Equinox - again I like how it is hot on small gold and even more with the new 6” coil. I hear it’s water proof? I don’t know how complicated it can be to learn this machine or if it can read the ground for search a good spot to run a sluice.

Whites 24k - pretty much if it is hot on small gold I like the idea. What I really like about this machine is it’s ability to track black sand for a possible prospect. I like the option to cancel out the iron on both the low reading numbers and the high reading numbers. I’m thinking this might be a little complicated for a newbie with all the functions but I really like the controls the machine has.

Bottom line is I am trying to decide which new detector I am gonna buy next year and want to hear your likes and dislikes about each of these machines.
