Just a note folks - posts and photos on other forums are original content with probable copyright issues from the original poster or forum owner. That being the case I have replaced the post above with a link to the original content.

The finders, Mike & Jen, did post a YouTube video of this great find....

Hey everyone,

In the quest to gather more info in order to make the leap, or to justify the money already spent, here is some more video showing the GPZ recovering gold from a previously heavily hit area. Again, the Aussies have a little more time in the field to date. Enjoy...

Here's a link to 2 specimens found yesterday, no story posted, just photos and weights of 12.2 ounces and 4.25 ounces!!! jaw-dropping%5B1%5D.gif

Not sure of the truth in this report, the thing that has me wondering is that the larger specimen sure looks to have had an acid treatment/soaking to clean it up/remove some of the quartz and usually that would take more than overnight in most cases? idunno.gif

I would love the hear more about these finds and if indeed this is a genuine report.

The linked post from the Arizona Outback forum is by Pard, a very long time and reputable detector/prospector. I have no doubt it is true and timely. I too would like to hear the story.

Thanks Mike, I'm glad to hear it's a genuine report, I think these specimens/ nuggets are the largest being reported found with Minelab's GPZ 7000 to date, very exciting to see!!
