Folks Use Protective Screen Material For Your Noxes

I use these and cut them to fit the entire face plate, virtually scratch proof. It'll protect the buttons and all for $10

I got a pack of these to use as well. I actually have one of the factory screen protectors on, with the Zagg on top and covering all the whole face. The Zagg works great for protecting everything. I've hunted at least 10 hours in the water now too and the Zagg has stayed firmly stuck with no water seeping under.

First thing with any new detector that has a screen - put on a screen protector. If you delay that first scratch will alert you as to why you should not have waited. The nice thing about including them with the Equinox as Minelab has done is it eliminates that temptation to wait.

On my other detectors like the GPZ I have been using older Kindle screen covers I have left over. The older covers before all the touch enabled screens came out are thicker than screen protectors for touch screens.

Advanced Clarity - Glass like Surface

I cut and pasted this snippet from the Ebay ad linked by Dan(NM).  My question is:  how diffuse is the reflecting surface?

I've already replaced the Minelab provided screen protector on my Eqx800 with a matte finish version sold for iPad.  I appreciate the extra effort Minelab went to but found the reflection too specular (mirror-like) when the sun was behind me.  I like the idea of a protector covering the keys/buttons on the Eqx face but not if it brings back the reflections I've eliminated.
