D&P-OR
Any chance either Minelab or Coiltek will make a 5X10" coil for the Equinox?-----That's a coil I would be interested in for both gold & relic hunting.
Alluminati
More then likely.
Chase Goldman
Actually, if they intended to make a 5x10, I would have thought they would have announced it by now considering they announced the 12x15 9 months ago and it's still not out. Hope I'm wrong, though, because I would like to see that form factor. I think the best we can say is, "Who knows".
Alluminati
Oh ya, the machine is way to popular to not have a football for it. They have one for the Xterra series and I would bet there are a lot more serious prospectors using the Equinox going forward then using the Xterra in the past. They probably didn't have one for the FBS machines because they weren't really suited for those types of targets but the Equinox is in a big way. The 6" is a hot coil, but I think I would prefer to hunt using a 5x10" for the coverage.
Daniel Tn
If they do I hope Minelab makes it. The CoilTek models for the CTXs were horrible and I don't see them doing any better with the Nox line. Just my opinion.
Alluminati
You are right Daniel Tn, the CoilTek I had was pretty crappy too. The ears seemed like they were hollow, they were too far apart to tighten down without a home-made plastic shim. It was also assembled with tape and had the explicit warning that it wasn't waterproof. (Unlike every other coil ever made lol)
Dubious
I'd like a 6x8 SEF, but I doubt it will come, alas...
