Have " Faith " In The White's TDI Beach Hunter, I Do

Recommended Posts

Interesting to recover so many religious medals on 1 trip but "Faith" was on our side.
The best of the 5 is the yellow gold with diamonds in the middle, but I have to give credit to my brother as he saved that one.  The sterling pieces are very nice as is the other ones of lesser metal, but with the same powerful meaning.
The TDI Beach Hunter did its job and I have faith this machine will do well for many.

Steve,  If you feel this post needs to be in the Jewelry Forum, I understand.  Some folks do not feel religion wear is jewelry..so I walk softly.

Very nice finds Gerry!  Were you hunting fresh or salt water?

We hunted in salt water.

Nice finds Gerry.......I am loving this machine and it has found me some nice stuff already and deep !

I have discovered that if you get a whisper break in that super smooth threshold and that the target signature is very narrow at the surface....you need to prepare yourself for some digging.

I found a stretch of beach that was very low, hardpan, dense crushed shell and limestone......dug some nice gold and green coins but those tear-drop fishing sinkers take some digging at 20" down..........all 28 of them !

............I wouldn't have it any other way............😃

Tony

PS..........Thanks for looking after me with getting the detector. Still can't get them here yet !

Tony,  USA to Australia was not that hard and I think it arrived quite fast too.  Glad I was able to get the TDI Beach Hunter in your hands and sorry folks there are having difficulties getting them.  Anyone else wanting one, let me know as Australia and New Zealand customers of mine are enjoying the benefits of the smooth operation and Depth of the Pulse Induction.  Yes I too have dug a few deep ones 16" plus and recovered a pair of sunglasses close to 2 feet deep.  Just love the 2 tone identification system as it saves me time not having to dig clad coins.

So my brother who has been detecting for 20 years has only recovered 1 gold ring and that ended up in a museum in England.  I promised him if he used the new White's TDI "DEEP" Beach Hunter the whole time on our hunt that he'd find more than 1 gold ring.  Not only did he do that, but he also recovered the best ring of the trip, this monster Emerald, diamond and yellow gold beauty.  Hats off to you Travis for not giving up on those deep signals.  Folks,  the TDI Beach Hunter is a Pulse Induction detector and it goes much deeper than standard machines.  Plus it runs smoother than most in salt water and is simple to use...just turn it on, set the knobs and go.  One of the cool features of the TDI beach Hunter is the Tone Identification system that allows you to decide if you want to dig the High Tone Only, which gives you a greater chance of gold and platinum rings, or the Low Tones which are usually most coins.  This feature alone saves time as you will end up digging DEEP.  One other thing to have, a good Deep Beach Scoop.

Silver or pure gold is low ton in TDI beach huner, but other low ton railways. Beach Hunter is wrong with TDI Pro? TDI Pro is not low ton.
How do you set up the others?

I may have an opportunity to buy a Whites TDI SL with two rechargeable NINH batteries, one AA battery pack, jimmy sierra elliptical dual field mono coil, miner john elliptical waterproof coil, 2 large TDI round open coils, and a Whites padded carry bag/case. Would it be worth buying since I have an Equinox 800 and a Teknetics G2? He's asking $750.

      Just thought I'd post this.............
I now run a 14.8v pack (4 x 18650 cells in series) which gives me a 7 hour run time. My previous version used loose cells in a holder but I wasn't happy with that.
I made up a battery lead that connects directly to the battery compartment contacts with small brass "screw terminal" connectors soldered with 22AWG wire. A bit fiddly to hook up (long and narrow screw driver needed to tighten the two terminal screws) but very secure and + - leads well apart to avoid a short.
I may put in place a rubber divider that further separates the +- battery contacts but the screw connectors are quite secure.
The battery pack fits in snugly and does not move around at all.
I deliberately made the wire lead long enough so the battery can be unplugged with the excess lead bundled inside the battery compartment.
      Tony

Normally I am not one to watch people taking something out of a box, but these folks do a good job of filming every little part and piece of the Beachhunter TDI....
