Ah, I think it is in the members section.  That’s why it’s not working.

I can summarise them later tonight when I’m home.  At the moment I’m pedaling the generator at the basketball stadium to get the air con working for the kids  ?

Oh, I didn't go to that link because I thought it was this one:  http://www.goldprospectingaustralia.com.au/about-us

NE's links send me to the website but I have to register.  The link reads:

Bad request. The link you followed is incorrect or outdated.

http://phasetechnical.com.au/   Our very own Phase Tech.  Nenad can add more but I think it is just training days more than tours.  But he might join us for a Vic camp out???  ?

https://goldandrelics.com.au/in-the-media    Something going on with that website.  It will take you to that page but not the rest of the content?  Maybe just a short term glitch.

So, that is just a summary of tour operators that people on PA have actually done trips with.  Now, there are some other comments through those pages about a couple of dodgy operators and operators buying positive reviews and such things.  Some of the tours done were a few years ago also.   If you were serious about booking one it might be worth registering on PA and having a peruse through the pages  ?

Mitchel;

Gold Prospecting in Australia is operated by Mark Hyde, He has a good website. You an mail him and ask questions. Based in Bendigo he does Day Tours...

There are loads of places in easy driving distance of Melbourne if you have limited time and money. Plus you have friendly offers from the locals...

I have some Doug Stone Maps and a couple of his books if you want to borrow them...

If I go again it will be WA because I love the terrain and the wide open spaces...and the GOLD!

I learned a trick from a WA prospector this year that keeps the flies out of my face and ears---

He said, "You just do a little poo in your pants and they won't come around your head!"

Tis called a Borroloola Fly Trap, was named in the Gulf  Country NT, apparently that`s where the flies are the worst. For some reason the dung beetle got rid of that problem in a lot of Queensland some years back, annoying little buggers for sure.

I am glad you are bringing up going to OZ.  I was planning on going last year but realized I needed to save a bit more and I want to get more experience under my belt to make the trip successful.  My next chance is going to be 2020.  Through my research and recommendations (JP being one) it was Gold Extractors or Gold Prospecting in Australia for me.  I emailed them a lot and they were so friendly and emailed back a lot too with tons of information as well as things and companies to "be aware" of.  Gold Extractors (Kim and Linc) have changed just a little.  When I was looking they provided you a caravan.  Now it seems they have communal living in a house.  But is way cheaper!  Anyways, however, a lot of my old links no longer work, except for these two!  That should say something too.  Although the two private tours in your links above look really interesting an way fun too!

Fred I would love to be able to borrow your Doug Stone books and maps, if mn90403 isn't gonna or after he is done.  I have been looking for anything from him in the library and such with no luck.  I would be willing to pay for shipping both ways and even put a deposit down until you get the books and maps back.  However you would like.  I bet I could read through them in a month or 2 over the winter.

Freaky;

If Mitchel does not want them or when he is finished I can ship them to you...The  information may be dated by now. Also, some dealers like Arizona Outback had a few copies. They may want to sell cheap!  The maps are newer but still may be a bit dated...

I agree with JW, if you expect to get rich or even to break even...stay here. Unless you hit a patch or a real big thumper you won't make any money. I love Australia and the wide open spaces and the critters...except the bush roaches, yuck!!!

Fred,  Thank you in advanced.  We will just have to wait and see what Mitchel wants.  I have looked and really the only place that I can find ones to buy is his website directly or eBay.  (and they are certainly not cheap, hence why I was looking to borrow or find at a library).  Thank you though, much appreciated!

Fred and JW,  What I ment about being "successful" was I would like some more years of experience behind me before I make a bucket list MD trip.  I don't wanna show up and not know what I am doing per se.  Knowing how to prospect the OZ outback though can only be done with research, and boots on ground.  That is going to be the "experience" for me (plus the lovelies of OZ).  So to make a long story short, I am not going there to make money, but I am going with the "hope" of finding a ripper!
