Equinox 800 Freshwater Hunting

Hi there,

I have about 100 hours on my new Nox and it rocks! Big time! It is my first "modern" high gain detector and I love it. Now that the swimming and sunshine season is about to arrive here in Germany soon, my plan is to hunt the shallow waters of some lakes highly frequented by people for years. I doubt that many detectors have been IN the water yet. Which program would be a good start? My suggestion goes towards Field or maybe the Park progs? My general hunting I do in Field 1. I would love to hear your experiences in Freshwater. The ground is not mineralized at all.

In my experience, any of the standard modes will do well in freshwater. Field 2 is my favorite both on land and in freshwater. It just suites the way I prefer to hunt.

Make sure to change 1and 2 so they aren’t disced/low tone in the field presets, otherwise you can pass small gold jewelry

thank's for your advice. I do hunt in Field 1 in general - all metal - 2 tone - iron bias 4 - recovery speed 5 or 6. When in too much trash I descr -9 to + 9 and 19. Most coins come in at 11 - 14 lead at 15. Here is the best recent find I made in a cornfield. It's a 1768 4 Heller coin with the city of cologne crest on it's back.
