<p>
	The Garrett AT Pro metal detector was introduced in 2010 and is still in production. The AT Pro is a fully submersible 15 kHz VLF metal detector aimed primarily at coin, jewelry, and relic detecting. The AT Pro was revolutionary at the time it was released due to it having a full complement of controls, an LCD display, and built in speaker, all while being waterproof to ten feet. This and a low price has resulted in the Garrett AT Pro being one of the most commercially successful metal detectors ever designed.

<p>
	12/1/2018 - Take note of a temporary offer to buy the AT Pro with the smaller 5" x 8" coil as standard instead of the 8.5" x 11" coil. <a href="https://www.detectorprospector.com/forums/topic/8152-garrett-at-pro-now-being-offered-with-5x8-coil/" rel="">Garrett AT Pro Sport Special</a>

	<em>"This all-terrain detector offers new and exclusive Garrett technology that makes it ideal for hunting coins, relics, caches, jewelry, and even gold nuggets. The AT Pro includes Garrett's exclusive Target ID technology and patented discrimination features. Two indicator scales allow you to see the detector’s discrimination setting (Lower Scale) as well as the analysis of each target (Upper Scale). In addition, a Digital Target ID scale provides a more specific target value. The AT Pro also features High Resolution Iron Discrimination (40 points) for separating desirable targets from iron junk in cluttered areas, several advanced audio features and a standard 8.5" x 11" elliptical Double-D searchcoil engineered for optimum performance in more challenging mineralized soils. In addition, the AT Pro can be operated in a very user-friendly Standard (STD) Mode or in a more advanced PRO Mode for experienced hunters."</em> Source: <a href="https://www.detectorprospector.com/files/file/117-garrett-at-pro-us-user-guide/" rel="">Owner's Manual</a>

<p>
	The XP Deus metal detector was introduced in 2009 and is still in production. The Deus is a VLF metal detector aimed primarily at coin, jewelry, and relic detecting. The Deus was revolutionary at the time it was released due to its very light weight, integrated wireless headphones and wireless coils (unique to XP), and an exceptionally fast recovery time. The Deus sets a current standard for relic detecting and is extremely popular in Europe in particular. The Deus is a "selectable frequency" detector that lets you select one frequency to use from several options. The XP Deus can run at any one of four frequencies - 4, 8, 12, and 18 kHz.

<p>
	<em>"DEUS marks a technological breakthrough and is a real innovation in metal detector design. Its patented architecture is based on three elements: A Coil, a Remote Control and a set of Audio Headphones, which are unique in that they communicate with each other via a digital radio link. The search coil contains the essential components for processing the signals, which no longer need to be conveyed via a wire link but are digitised and analysed directly at source by an ultra-miniature digital circuit, which greatly improves the quality of signal acquisition. This circuit, which is integrated in the detection head, processes the information and sends it to the headphones and remote control in real time via a radio link."</em> Source: <a href="https://www.detectorprospector.com/files/file/82-xp-2019-deus-brochure/" rel="">XP Deus Brochure</a>

	The Fisher CZ-21 metal detector was introduced in 2009 and is still in production. The CZ-21 replaces the earlier CZ-20 model and is essentially the same unit with slight modifications. The Fisher CZ-21 is a fully submersible multifrequency VLF metal detector aimed primarily at underwater use. The 250 foot maximum depth makes the CZ-21 suitable for use while SCUBA diving. Note that as a diving detector both the headphones and coil are hardwired into the control box and cannot be changed. There is a choice of 8" or 10.5" concentric coils at the time of purchase.

<p style="background-color:#ffffff; color:#353c41; font-size:14px; text-align:start">
	<em>"The CZ-21 and 1280X are housed in the most rugged enclosures and each have the same collapsible pole assemblies. A short pole assembly is desired when diving, but full extension is preferred when standing or wading. Both are submersible to 250 feet. The control housing can be easily removed for hip-mounting or it can be chest-mounted with an optional chest harness. The CZ-21 has a reputation for being the best saltwater metal detector ever made, while the 1280X is known for being the best fresh water detector, but both can be used in either environment. The CZ-21 is a multi-frequency metal detector that has adjustable discrimination, is easy to use and designed to handle the toughest mineral concentrations on any salt or fresh water beach. The CZ-21 also has Audio Tone Target-ID, a highly sought after feature that allows users to distinguish iron targets from gold. The CZ-21 delivers!"</em> Source:<span> </span><a href="https://www.detectorprospector.com/files/file/20-fisher-2016-metal-detector-catalog/" rel="">Fisher 2016 catalog</a>

	<em>"The VX3 combines the premier performance of the Spectra V3i with the turn-on-and-go simplicity of the Coinmaster line of metal detector. This top-of-the-line metal detector is as easy to use as an ATM with 8 preset hunting programs. You’ll be ready to discover coins, jewelry, gold, silver, and relics. Take it to the shore with a specialized beach mode. Customization continues with 3 frequencies optimized for different targets: 2.5 kHz, 7.5 kHz, and 22.5 kHz. When you come across a target, the SpectraGraph Target Signature shows on the VX3’s high-resolution color display, helping you decide whether the find is worth digging up. The VX3 is ready to use with White’s SpectraSound wireless headphones. For traditional audio identification, choose from four modes of discrimination and optional tone ID with 191 different sounds. There are essential settings for you to optionally adjust, but the Spectra VX3 is all about making treasure finding easy for every hunter — detecting targets with performance worthy of the Spectra name."</em> Source: <a href="https://www.detectorprospector.com/files/file/15-whites-2018-metal-detector-catalog/" rel="">White's 2018 catalog</a>

	The Minelab GPX 4500 detector was released in 2008 and discontinued in February 2021. The GPX 4500 is a pulse induction (PI) metal detector aimed primarily at the gold prospecting market but which has become popular also with relic hunters. Note that the sale price of this model normally includes two search coils, an 11" round DD plus an 11" round mono coil.
</p>

<p>
	<em>"Return of the Legendary Gold Detector! The versatile GPX-4500 is a proven gold finder with many features and great performance. MPS, DVT &amp; SETA technologies for superior gold detecting performance.
	</li>
	<li>
		2 coils supplied: 11-inch Double-D for general use AND 11" Monoloop for deeper detecting
	</li>
	<li>
		Versatile Timing settings for various ground conditions. The Enhance timing is a powerful feature, similar to the Sensitive Smooth timing, but provides an improvement in the depth and signal response on small and large targets alike. The Sharp timing is more suited to quieter soils and can also help to pinpoint faint targets.
	</li>
	<li>
		Six pre-programmed search modes for easy switch-on-and-go detecting. All six search modes can be modified with your favourite settings and renamed.
	</li>
	<li>
		Stabilizer control for the smoothest threshold. In noisy conditions, turning it down will provide you with a smoother threshold. In quiet conditions, increase the stabilizer and faint target signals will be more obvious.
	</li>
	<li>
		Ground Balance OFF for neutral soils. This is a useful feature for very benign low mineralised or salt saturated soils. This setting will also work well for treasure or relic hunters in loam or sandy soils.
	</li>
	<li>
		Backlight with adjustable time-out to preserve battery life.
	</li>
	<li>
		Target Volume allows you to increase the strength of softer target signals. This is useful in windy conditions, for people suffering from hearing loss, and to adjust the audio volume when using external speakers. This can also provide an audio boost in mild soils, and can be used to smooth out ground noise signals in highly mineralised soils.
	</li>
	<li>
		The Iron Reject function allows you to set the desired level of discrimination, from cautious to aggressive. This enables detecting in areas with high levels of ferrous junk.
	</li>
	<li>
		Built-in amplifier so you can hear soft target signals from deeper nuggets, more easily. The Li-lon battery pack includes a built-in audio amplifier, allowing you to use an external speaker without the need for any external booster.

	The Tesoro Cibola metal detector was introduced in 2004 and ceased production in 2018. It is a 14 kHz VLF metal detector aimed primarily at coin, jewelry, and relic detecting.
</p>

<p>
	<em>"The Cibola is a powerful turn-on-and-go detector. It is the only detector in the Delta coil family that provides pre-set mineral rejection, which leaves the detectorist more time to hunt and less time manually readjusting to different types of soil. The Cibola is perfect for detecting with friends because of its frequency shift, which allows the user to choose between three different frequencies and eliminate interference between metal detectors. This ultra-lightweight treasure finder offers the ability to super-tune, causing the detector to overdrive small signals for better clarity. The multi-faceted Cibola does everything a more expensive detector can do, at a fraction of the weight and cost."</em> Source: <a href="https://www.detectorprospector.com/files/file/25-tesoro-2013-metal-detector-catalog/" rel="">Tesoro 2013 catalog</a>

	<span style="background-color:#ffffff; color:#353c41; font-size:14px; text-align:start"><em>"The new G2+ is unique among relic hunting detectors for its versatile function as an all-purpose treasure detector and also its high sensitivity to small gold nuggets. The controls, menu options and features are tailored to relic-hunting, including a sophisticated ground balancing system, separate control over signal gain and threshold and a unique discrimination control system. These features also make for a great gold prospecting detector, especially when the G2+ is outfitted with the optional 5” DD searchcoil. While the G2+ makes for a highly competent coinshooting detector, its user interface and features are not specifically designed for this purpose. As a coin-shooter, you will notice that the G2+ exhibits slightly lower sensitivity to high-conductivity coins, like a U.S. quarter; this is a result of its specialized design to emphasize sensitivity to smaller, lower conductivity metals like relics and gold nuggets. The G2+ is outfitted with a 11”DD open elliptical searchcoil as standard equipment since this searchcoil construction is best-suited to relic-hunting. At the trashiest sites, you may find the smaller optional 5”DD searchcoil makes pinpointing easier, is better suited to penetrate highly mineralized soils and improves target separation."</em> Source: <a href="https://www.detectorprospector.com/files/file/51-teknetics-g2-user-guide/" rel="">G2+ Owner's Manual</a></span>

<p>
	<span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); text-align: start;">The XP Orx metal detector was introduced in 2018 and is still in production. It is a selectable frequency induction balance metal detector aimed primarily at gold prospecting with accessory uses of coin, jewelry, and relic detecting. The operating frequency range is determined by the coil in use, with each primary frequency having numerous offsets. The 9’’ HF coil allows three primary frequencies of 15, 30, and 50 kHz. The elliptical HF coil has a higher top frequency option of 15, 30, and 80 kHz. The X35 coils offer lower frequency options of 4, 8, 12, 17, and 25 kHz. This detector is so new the U.S. price is estimated.</span>

	The Fisher F19 Ltd metal detector was introduced in 2014 and is still in production. The F19 Ltd models are camouflage paint versions while the <a href="https://www.detectorprospector.com/metal-detector-database/fisher-f19-r25/" rel="">standard F19</a> has Fisher's standard black and gold colors. There is no difference between the units electronically. The F19 Ltd is a 19 khz VLF metal detector aimed primarily at coin, jewelry, and relic detecting. The F19 Ltd is a variant of the 19 kHz <a href="https://www.detectorprospector.com/metal-detector-database/fisher-gold-bug-pro-r14/" rel="">Fisher Gold Bug Pro</a> and so it also is very good at gold prospecting.

<p>
	The White's DFX was released in 2001 and replaced by the DFX 300 (same detector with larger coil) in 2008. The DFX series was discontinued in 2012. The DFX is a VLF metal detector aimed primarily at coin, jewelry, relic detecting, and saltwater beach detecting. The White's DFX is a multifrequency detector that can also run at one of two single frequencies: 3 kHz and 15 kHz.
</p>

<p>
	<em>"Here it is. The finest all-around metal detector. DFX™ is simply unsurpassed in its ability to find treasure - older, deeper and smaller items that other detectors pass over. DFX™ brings together the ultimate combination of sophisticated microprocessor technology, and turn-on-and-go simplicity. You’re out and hunting right away, but there are dozens of adjustments available if you choose. White’s patented multifrequency method partners with the target I.D. you get only from DFX. “See through” minerals in the ground and detect coins, jewelry and relics other detectors miss. Hunt in 3 kHz or 15 kHz (the two best frequencies for finding treasure) or use both together for unequalled hunting. Choose Best Data and the DFX™ displays data from the most reliable frequency. Choose Correlate and questionable targets, including iron, are rejected. All happening automatically while you hunt! There are dozens of features that come together in the DFX™ to create the world’s best metal detector. It’s built on White’s proven digital platform, with the features that give you more flexibility to find it all!"</em> Source: <a href="https://www.detectorprospector.com/files/file/127-whites-2006-metal-detector-catalog/" rel="">White's 2006 catalog</a>
