Been borrowing a buddy's Greay Ghost II headphones so I'm in the market looking for a set of my own so I can return his. Really like them. Very new to this and of course I'm addicted! I have the EquiNox 900 and was wondering if there is a list of items and what the numbers are for such items. I good buddy of mine introduced this metal detecting to me about a month ago and I'm loving it. He has the Excaliber 2 so his numbers can't help me. Any advice and or pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance..

I've only had my 900 now for 3 weeks and have been primarily searching waste deep in the ocean, too hot for the dry sand for me to have to wait for fall. Been going with a good friend who is showing me the ropes, he's been doing this for 20yrs.. Anyhow, have a few questions. 1) what setting are you guys using for the water stuff 2) does bringing up my sensitivity increase the depth at which the 900 will detect and 3) how do you veteran hunters like or think of the 900

I just got into this metal detecting and I am looking for advice to come up with an alternative to using a set of waterproof headphones and just using 1 earpiece. How would I got about doing this and what items to I need to make this happen?

Buddy of mine took me out once,,,, DONE! I went and bought the Equinox 900 and will be going out tomorrow after my shovel comes in the mail. Of course, it will take me some time to learn this machine, but with his help and this forum, I'm I learn fast. Happy to be here and learn from you guys....
