The " Ox " Vehicle For The Budget Minded Prospector
Au4Gold2 replied to Au4Gold2's topic in Detector Prospector Forum
Yup, I see your point fellas.....4 wheels is a must. I was just thinking of the space that could be converted for sleep quarters maybe a small kitchen, and some storage for detectors and parts. Protected from outside elements like weather and animals when sleeping. Beats spending 40,000 grand. I am sure their are other cheaper options one could make into a great nuggethunting vehicle. Did you guys ever see JP's rig in Australia? that must of cost a bundle.... -

gpx 4500. hands down, the Commander 11" Mono coil is a hot little coil ...lately been hitting 2-3 grain dinks. 15 gram at 23" with 24" Mono....thats versatility.

Video - Deepest Gold Mine In The World

Thanks Steve, that video was very interesting..... -
AuWanderer, No 28 dwts not Grams if it was grams that's like 28 x 1.55 = 43.4 grams! Dwts are easy on my mind there is only 20 dwts per ounce vs 31.1 grams to and ounce...but I sell them either way people like to buy them at, lol. Rick Yup, I goofed, I read it correct and understood but I am used to grams..when I weigh my gold. Sometimes finger typing faster than the mind..lol If I was doing 43 .4 grams every three days.....Wow !! I would be a happy camper.
-
Holy Smokies Rick !! You did 28 grams in three days????? I would call that a success.....great job man ! By th esound of it, your 7000 is working very well......

Minelab Detectors For The Next 12 Months
Au4Gold2 replied to Rick K - First Member's topic in Minelab Metal Detectors
Regardless of what is coming around the corner....you still have to do the work and dig targets. There are plenty of areas to hunt, sure a perfect discriminator would be nice. I have endless placer grounds to hunt full of trash and where there is trash there is gold. VLF technology does not do it for me...love the sweet sound of a PI. Still using my 4500 with a 11' Commander coil.I wont upgrade until they have a perfect discriminating ZED. -
Nice shooting...................very nice.

Last Night A Prospecting Pick Saved My Life
Au4Gold2 replied to tboykin's topic in Detector Prospector Forum
isn't that why we have police, fire departments, SARS, park rangers, and so on? It goes with the job...........and you take the job to help people and get paid a good wage with benefits. No one said it will be easy...not every person is cut out for civil servant jobs. But rescuing people weather prepared or not is part of your job that you choose in the first place. Just saying............. :) -
