Either way has its benefits I suppose. It's nice to know who agrees to a post, but it would also be nice to see who disagrees also (that doesn't seem to be an option). I've never been a fan of anonymous anything unless it's a safety issue. Either way it ends up won't make or break this forum for me. Test it out and throw a poll up in the future?? Just an idea.

It's a nice start, but not big enough for my expectations 😁

Finally got the wife to join me last weekend. She managed to find her first piece of gold ever. She was using her Nox 900. Nice little 1/2 gram specimen. It was enough to beat me that day, but I was happy to get her addicted to this game 😁

Thats quite a defense of minelab for sure. Minelab does make great products, I don't think anyone can argue that. I however know people who owned both the 6000 and the axiom and chose to keep the axiom. Their reason being they could get more money for the 6000, and there wasn't enough performance difference to justify keeping it. I've also heard some experience more emi interference with the 6000 than the axiom. To each his own. Everyone has their own opinion on these two detectors, but the more people get worked up about minelab being the best and the only choice, the less serious I take their opinion. And thats just my honest opinion, which I'm entitled to, just like Simon is entitled to his.

Very nice find. It's always cool to dig up a piece of history related to your interests

I actually did slice it first, but nothing was visible except for what I could originally see on the surface. I think the same way as you do, but some just need to be crushed . I suppose I should call this a piece of ore, and not so much a specimen.
-
I crushed The bigger specimen I found 2 weekends ago. Here are the results.... The gold can use a bit more cleaning, but guessing I'll end up with 1.5 g ?

Nokta Goldex Metal Detector Brazil
Gold Junkie replied to Deivid Chiabai's topic in Detector Prospector Forum
As an experienced gold kruzer user, I can tell you the shaft does not have the same issue as it does on the Manticore. I have even more hours on the Manticore. After upgrading to Steve's rod on the Manticore, I see a huge improvement. Way less falsing in brush and tight areas. Also when laying the coil flat for running scoop. The gold kruzer didn't give me that trouble. I truly believe the Manticore is more sensitive. Either way, the original shaft is an issue on the Manticore. -
Nokta Goldex Metal Detector Brazil

I'm curious about this one too. But I've learned with nokta lately, it's not safe to hold your breath 🫠 -
The m8 lives on my manticore. I've tried the m9 but the m8 is better for prospecting IMO

Manticore on all of them

And #4 for the year... slow day, only one so far 😁 I hope all of you are as blessed as I have been this season.

Dam...#3 decided to skip a few steps! Can't wait to get this one home and cleaned up. Definitely starting the year off right 😁

God has blessed us with nice enough weather to find gold in January! Not huge, but a perfect start to this season. Good luck to all
