  1. Look, if your sensor is not labelled sensor in big letters it simply is not going to work
  2. Glue on a thin piece of polycarbonate sheet in the area of interest
  3. It sounds readily tweakable. I wonder if a "depth" timing or a "depth" version could also be requested.
  4. That is marginally better than hiking a couple miles up a large hill to find you left your battery in the car
  5. I would use the earbuds. I use headphones typically so the earbuds would be more convenient. All I would need is the LE transmitter
  6. If you are talking depth, a 15" evo, or an 18" evo, change to lithium battery and get signal amplifier to run higher gain.
  7. Not true. See all the posts on crushers people have made. There are also a range of them commercially available. It is not expensive to crush the rock even in reasonable quantity, just depends on whether the values are good
  8. Iron from a can, or a tiny grain of iron nickel from a meteorite
  9. A claim is property, not a lease. 1. They create large monuments like the recent sand to snow, which withdraws the land from mineral entry. There is a new proposal to close almost all of the southern deserts in the proposed Chuckwalla national monument. Same goes for wilderness areas 2. They create large wind or solar leases and close access such as those areas near the El Paso mountains Having claims prevents that happening
  10. It is a long road to perdition, that we are all following faithfully
  11. Before you buy a claim, do your due diligence in checking that there is gold in the form you want in enough quantity to make it worthwhile. If you dont have the experience to do this, get the experience first. There are differing opinions on claims, but I hold claims because the ground here is rapidly being shut off to mining, and I want to keep some areas open where I can go. Others friends feel that you should only keep a claim if you will mine it.
  12. Sounds like the original poster already invested a bunch in picks that were unsatisfactory. If you make your own you get what you want, and it really does not require much ability.

  14. Get a piece of AR 600 or a boron harrow disc and make your own.
  15. The advantage is you have a 15 inch mono spiral coil, and if you hike over very bad ground, hot ground or emi gets really bad you can switch to concentric. No carrying extra coil separately. Of course there will be extra weight, which will be the real tradeoff.
  16. Sorry, not what I meant. I meant was that retail cost or your price for shipping that one to you. But you answered it. Thanks
  17. Looks like the gpx 5000 is only coming with one coil too. Gone are the days of receiving both mono and DD?
  18. 3d printers for polycarbonate and a variety of plastics are quite reasonable now. I purchased one recently for some other projects. It also should not cost much to ask someone to print a few if prototyping for the smaller sized coils you want.
  19. Beautiful gold. Treasure your spot, they are hard to find. Even better it is just outside your dad's house. What is the story behind the hand xrays?
