  1. Well I have a new GPX 4500 and have put the 4000 up for sale now to work out coils
  2. Hi Tony The serial number on my 4500 in neither 7 or 10 digits mine has 11 digitsand what I have been told they are new stock not old stock but take that how you want.
  3. I only recived 3 coils 11" mono 11" double D and a 15"×12" mono
  4. Well I hope I did the right thing as I just purchased the GPX 4500 with three coils and have a nugget finder 8x6 Sadie on order
  5. At this point hopefully I will be spending quite some time in the gold feilds in the Bathurst /Sofala area with a trip down your way later But over all plan is to get out there a lot more so I'am looking fir the best set up I can have with the gear I have a small budget to make a change if it's worth it just finding it hard to make a decision
  6. I have a Coiltec 14" Elite mono Nugetfinder 12x8 11' minelab both mono and DD For the Nox a 6" 11" and 15"
  7. OK I am after some advice or opinion (constructive). I currently have a GPX 4000 and a nox 800 and Minelab have released some new GPX 4500 for $3499 (Australian dollars) with 3 coils and warranty. And this got me interested in making a possible change, I have a budget off $3500 So what would you do. But I have to sell the 4000 if I get a new detector 1. Get a new 4500 with 3 coils and warranty and Nox (sell 4000) 2. Keep the 4000 and Nox and keep going with what I have 3. Keep the 4000 and get a Algoforce E1500 (for fine / small gold) So, What would you do and why
  8. Hi Northeast yes, I have looked at a 5000 today and have another I can look at as well both eleven and a half years old but the GPX 4500 (new) with 3 coils and warranty have me interested just not sure witch way to go as funds are tight so any help would be appreciated
  9. Hi, Northeast No, i have not moved south but will be looking at coming your way at some point soon I sold the 705 on the trip that I meet you on and purchased a Nox 800 I also have a GPX 4000 but looking at updating to a 4500 / 5000 and getting out more as time goes so fast so that's why I have a few questions and a small budget so a 6000 or 7000 are not in the plan as much as I would like one Thanks for your help and will have to catch up again one day Roy
  10. Thanks Northeast and have you used the Sadie and if so where would you use it and how did it go Also I think we may have meet a few years ago in a town in Victoria with a well known bakery
  11. Let's say I'm getting a gpx 5000 / 4500 and going to use it in the Victorian gold feilds (Australia) What coils would you recommend to have to cover most situations. Thanks in advance Roy
  12. There are 2 minelab dealers in Victoria that have it on there Web site We don't have any minelab dealers near me now so it's over the phone on online
  13. So how do the factory coils perform compered to aftermarket, but they also seem to be in short supply as well or out of stock at most shops i have checked out as well.
  14. Hi from New South Wales Australia looking foward to a new adventures in metal detecting as well as panning for gold and making new friends on the way. Thanks Roy
  15. I'am having a look at GPX 5000 tomorrow morning (11 years old) with 2 extra coils to check it out and another one is about hour and half drive to ckech out if I need too but it's a similar age as well and both around the same price as the 4500 that's new with warranty so I'm still on the fence to some degree but leaning a little one way but hoping for some good advice here so I can make the best informed decision gir me as have limited funds.
