  1. Nice save mr. Love those Xp machines. May want to try the 9x5 coil. It cuts thru the iron like a laser.
  2. I love these gloves. Cant be beat for the price. Are as good as the $40 mechanics gloves everyone else sells.
  3. They been saying SOON since the release of the simplex on the extra coils ha ha ha
  4. I was told will be available this next incoming shipment. So very soon. Looks they will be only available as a extra coil in yellow or black. For $84.15 Also has a optional coil cover for $10.20. Don't know for sure if it come with a coil cover or not. Guessing it does with option to buy them also.
  5. yup its a no go. Must have them chipped to not be compatible. Maybe they will surprise us with the update and all the anfibio/kruzer coils will work with simplex. If they did I would prob buy 2 machines just for myself and keep one with 7'' on and one with the 9x5 coil on.
  6. dang man thats a lot of gold coins congrats!. I've got a lot of catching up to do. Im still at only 1 lol. Were u using the explorer II im guessing?
  7. great vid. pretty impressive it hitting that deep dime with a reactivity of 3. Nice.
  8. yup exactly what I do. Do the pump method then add 3 points works like a charm. My machine seems to be really happy with 83 at almost all my sites. Curious what settings you are using and which coil? May still be able to keep your sensitivity settings of 86-87 and turn down the reactivity a bit. Or turn down the Tx gain and bump up sense more.
  9. Steve I completely understand your point of view here. It is what the manufacturers have created though. Why idk. I would love to see a standard price for every dealer. Big Box stores are no better. Hell you can go look on eBay and see some big dealers selling brand new with a best offer option. Also most of the big name stores have dealers working for them and will sell under cost. Call and see for yourself, they don't adhere to the pricing rules anymore than that guy down the street selling from his computer. A lot of it is not the manufactures fault either. The hobby itself I think is in trouble and has forced things to take a different turn. Its not all bad though. This way has allowed manufacturers to do promotional stuff more and more without actually hurting dealers. Take the new Nokta/Makro promo for example. Maybe I fit the bill of just another no name drop shipper? I will say if you buy from me I will go out of my way to make things right. Even if I have to pay out of my own pocket. I recently had a customer that bought a new anfibio. The day it arrived he told me that upper cam lock was messed up and it had a horrible wobble. The service center just kept giving him the run around. I made sure he had new parts sent out right away. Is still a few good ones around. Not all hope is lost 👍
  10. I've wondered for years why detecting companies don't do this. Always was a head scratcher why I couldn't get a new at pro with the sniper coil and 5x8 only.
  11. I found the same thing with making changes to the settings. They need to change it so it doesn't disappear right away. Its a little thing but can really be frustrating. I never thought the buttons were to stiff though. I imagine they have to be if your using it underwater. Great little machine. Beautifully designed. Budget approved. I wonder who will be the first manufacturer to sell a machine where you can go online and make changes to your setting where you have the option to change some of these settings like if the pinpoint mode stays on or has to be held. Now that would be cool!!
  12. Some good points Chase. I'm gonna try one. Looks like a good product. Yes I can get them if anyone else wants to try them out.
  13. Just wondering if anyone has tried these? Sound and look like they are amazing and can be used with other devices that are charged by usb.
  14. Barney I agree with you 100%. I have my hearing checked every year for work and have good hearing. The wireless headphones on all Nokta/Makro machines are not very loud in general. I can hear them yes but not like I want to. My brand new simplex was the same way. My Multi Kruzer, and my anfibio. I also don't care for the way they fit. To small for me. If your use to the high cranking power of the deus ws4s the Nokta/Makro with be a bit of a let down. On the other hand I did try the Nokta/makro waterproof headphones with the simplex. They really cleaned up the tones a lot and seemed to have plenty of volume. For a waterproof headphone I thought they would be a bit distorted cause of the waterproofing. Nope I was wrong sound great.
  15. Very cool pics. I was thinking the battery would be twice that size and put into the shaft of the grip. Interesting. Mr Swing King looks like its been awhile since this was posted. If you still looking for a simplex id be glad to help ya get one.
  16. Anyone tried the concentric coils on these diablos? Trying to decide if I should buy a Nel sniper coil or a Tesoro concentric coil. I never really cared for DD coils on my other Tesoro's.
  17. Thanks chase I really love those Xp machines. They sure can unlock the goods in those tuff sites.
  18. I have a used ORX like new for ya to try. Make ya a killer deal!!! Ya I've been wondering and wishing the same thing for a smaller 4x6 or something. Not sure why they don't make one already. IDK but the 5x9 cuts through trash like a laser. The 9" coils do super well too. Most of my finds over the years have come with the older 9" low freq coil. No matter the coil the Deus/ORX are killer relic machines
  19. DeltaDigger Yes is a big difference in tones. With the deus you can choose 2tone,3tone,4tone,5tone,Full tones, and pitch. On deus you can also adjust iron volume, and audio response. With audio response you can make those deep targets really come to life by cranking it up if ya like or feel the need to. Is a lot of detail in the 3 tone mode with the ORX. Try running your ORX like this. Iron volume off, disc at 9.5 and see what you think. My headphone for my ORX go extremely loud and clear. Hope you don't have a issue with yours. Prob just need to get use to the tones. Are a bit different sounding then most machines.
  20. Well that's a good question. The ORX is just a basic version of the deus really. Less features. Orx only has the 3 tone option in the coin modes. Orx can't run the old low freq coils for example. Deus has many more options also. I would ask yourself if you really need those options. The ORX seems to hold its own as far as depth and separation comparing to the deus. The added options are definitely fun to have. Especially the different tone options.
