  1. A friend and I spent a couple days swinging around a couple junk filled ghost towns. I am very familiar with the Xp deus. I had also brought with the new to me Xp ORX. I spent my time swinging both the deus/ORX with the 9 Hf, 9x5Hf and my LF 11x13 coils. I found some good stuff and was really able to put the new ORX to work. I kept the ORX equipped with the 9x5hf coil. Deus with 9Hf coil. Also have my 11x13 on a straight shaft to easily switch to that. These site have been hit hard over the last few years by me and a ton of other people and have seen 3 to 4 large group hunts. Heres a few pics
  2. Thanks Chase didn't know that. Haven't had my hands on a x35 coil yet. Wonder why they changed back? Well at least can use them with the little block now to center the shaft.
  3. Deus in 3 tone low disc at like 5.2 will give you a lot better results. Full tones is great but seems to have some built in disc into the settings I'm guessing. When hunting iron littered sites Ill take the deus over the Nox every time.
  4. I believe I got one with my new ORX. Seems like a stronger plastic was used. Less flexible. Otherwise seems the exact same as the one I got wth my older deus. Think I actually like the older one better. It flexes better and is easier to put on. To bad they don't make a connector that would work on the new style batteries. One that plugs into the battery directly itself. Then you would be able to charge your extra batteries without actually plugging it into a coil. That would be handy.
  5. Dang man that's a bummer. Sounds like u could use a Anfibio.
  6. I love playing in the old ghost town iron type of sites out west. Been swing the Xp deus 2014. I preorder the EQ 800. Took the EQ 800 to all my old iron sites. I think I gave it a fair shake. I put about 200+ hard hours in with the EQ 800 in the iron type sites. About half of that with the 6" coil. The EQ 800 is a awesome machine for sure i love it! For my heavy junk and iron type ghost town/Relic type sites I grab the Xp every time. For more modern junky parks I would grab the EQ 800 first for deep coin shooting. If im hard core jewelry hunting and old park looking for that gold ring ill grab the Xp with the HF coil.

  8. Dr tones is one cool dude. That other fella wouldn't even found one if Dr tones didn't help him out. Man those guys are lucky to find something like that congrats to them.
  9. Oh Hell ya Sweet! Can't wait to get one. Man the 800 is gonna be a beast in the iron with that little coil.
  10. Ya I doubt depth is what the coil is about, I doubt it will hit a 10" coin in most my Nv sites. I'm interested in separation and basically anything that will open up any old iron infested sites or give me any advantages. If u find the time to do any testing between that and the standard 9" that would be sweet.
  11. I'm surprised that the elliptical coil will hit the 10" coin. I haven't heard a lot on this coil. I'm thinking that the 74 kHz with a little bit of disc added would be a beast in some of my old iron filled ghost town sites. Steve have u had a chance to do any testing with this Coil?
  12. Just wondering how well this new coil actually is for nugget shooting. I haven't got into nugget hunting yet. If I do would I be better off spending the money on something else? I already have the Xp but haven't heard anything much for nugget shooting with this new coil. Be nugget shooting in Nv areas where I live. Thx for any help.
  13. That's what I thought also on the wireless, didn't know for sure tho.
  14. I saw that video and also paused and looked at the zoomed photos. I was thinking this was something other than garrett. Just from the coil design, and control design. I didn't think they would stray that far away from the atpro/gold design. I could be wrong tho. Wonder how they will setup the wireless headphones for underwater use? Looks like a good machine. Can't wait to see what garrett comes out with.
  15. I'd be happy with the same housing if able to adjust display to see it better. I agree on the connections also. Volume control would be sweet too. I prob will buy one no matter what just to try. I preferred the atgold over the pro. Wonder which direction they will follow the most?
  16. Well lots of options out there. Anything that will easily display the vdi numbers and the rest of user options without a magnify glass. The tiny display is the one thing that's always turned me away from garrett AT machines.
  17. If it comes in the old atpro/gold housing it will be such a let down.
  18. Sweet finds mr, sounds like ur liking the new mx sport, id go back with a smaller coil when can maybe able to pull some more great finds.
