I like the ergonomics of the T2/F75 very very well.Feels very natural to me! Here's what Dave Johnson the engineer of the product says about the mechanical design. How difficult was it walking the line between superb ergonomics and weight vs. structural durability (on the T-2 and F-75)? Dave: "It took a lot of attention to detail. I was originally shooting for even lower weight. I’ve been studying the physiology of metal detector ergonomics for my whole career and on this product I had a blank check to get it right. Yes Daniel not much different on a T2 Vs F75. Yet I prefer a T2.I'm a sucker for the color green..And I like the 40 points of iron resolution just for the simple fact it lumps higher conductors closer together ..I dont like 3 ringers reading in the 50s I like them to read in the 70s 😆.I also like that the T2 does a hard reset on every turn on instead of a memory recall.Makes sure you set it like you want and dont rely on last site settings and also it seems to reduce noise that a hard reset seems to offer the Hyper machines from FTP. Yet they are both equal units maybe F75 is slightly hotter sometimes? I also like the F19 units for heavy iron as a complimentary unit to the t2/F75. There's alot of great machines but I've found as of late to get any more out of machines manufacturers are offering infinite settings and to me the more we can tweak the more we second guess ourselves settings wise. I like the K.I.S.S. approach to machines. Sounds like you got into the F75 in a trade so that's always nice for sure.Easy on the wallet!! Yes but could tell a chage! The main thing about the Tarsacci is it punches mineral. The other stuff like the sheet of foil and iron unmasking etc is sort of a by product of this technology it so seems. Its fun to see what it can do messing around with it testing stuff..That can be a hobby in itself if your not carefull.LOL!! In the low end things happen like more purity of metal than actual conductance.Like small lead pistol balls will read the same deep or on surface.The salinity seems to really have control of items that can hit close to its dial range. Nails are another item you can get to be a little weird to help in unmasking.You cant remove them just like you cant remove that sheet foil with salinity but you can make them sort of less reactive in a way.But its all by products of being able to punch bad soil i feel. Yeah concentric on a VLF might be your best bet for that test.BUT its still not going to do what the Tarsacci can do.. There's alot of great Detectors on the market for sure.. BUT the Tarsacci doing things that till now were just not doable.Things have really moved forward. Good test! Keith

Your Quite Welcome Sir! Yes to find a detector that can do that would be a chore.Not saying there's something out there that cant with a ID system on it.But I don't know what it is. The Tarsacci is really advanced in alot of ways than what we have become used too. Mineral handling and or punch is it. and the other is lite metals.they can be skinned back. Keith

👍 I might also add if the ground balance is too low the salinity does not seem to help till you set it to 650 or higher.I actually run it up some if its grabbing lower than 650 and I want to take advantage of the Salinity. It's rare in my area as most of my soil is 800s even 950 at times. But I know in good dirt like 580s and loamy fluffy if I want it to unmask in iron better I set ground to about 800 and Salinity to about 44.ish.and it really gets going unmasking. Keith

At first i had pinging..The salinity will cure most and the pinging that's left will start to be dead flat quick sounding and the legitimate real high tones will be sonar echo hits. I promise they become nothing as you adapt. The salinity is a life saver and sometimes it takes about upper 20s to calm it down.-2 threshold seems to be the spot with 7 sens to really get adapted to it .still punches like crazy and the tones are easier to hear ping from sonar. So far Salinity has not caused me to miss even P.Caps and pistol balls at depth.The salinity can actually help pull a signal out of bad soil and rocks when on Vs being off. The salinity will also make aluminum weird sounding and crown caps. If you have some of that gravel at home turn salinity balance on and sweep over it and find the spot where it drops out or acts weak.then use that setting ..It will amaze you at what it will see then around those rocks. Pinging is the hardest part to overcome till you get it right and learn the language to know what to ignore that breaks through.Not hard but just takes time .Sweep speed helps alot too as does -30 disc. I at first thought man what's up.then it clicked.I'm a slow learner and it took about 45 hours or so to settle in.then you really start to see it do some things you never though possible with a discriminating unit. I see you see its doing something as I did too at first few uses,But once its all clicked and jelled look out. Way more advanced technology in mineral than I myself can even begin to comprehend. that's a nice looking Crucifix piece!! Keith

Yes Steve ive decided the transmission method of the machine whatever it may be is not as important as the Salinity balance.whatever that really is? and how it works. That is the true DNA of the unit.and yes your detailed report on salinity balance once you use it you will see it causes P.I. timing type effects.very reminescent traits will be noticed. Your very astute in your deciphering.!!! Keith

Lots of good info. I've tried to understand the technology and the best answer I get is what if there's another way to designs a detector..Not VLF not P.I. but another way?But this way offers Pulse mineral punch ability and VLF disc ability. And I'm no electronics expert by any means.yet and I don't know .Can you pulse a transmit signal and receive continuous?HYBRID?Seems feasible. Read the patent closely.I'm a novice on reading technical jargon.BUT things stick out. Also and I mean this with all sincerity as the interview comes along in release stages I myself ask Dimitar stuff that may answer questions in a round about way. ? The Tarsacci can handle mineral well and punch it Clean.BUT I feel the salt balance is also part of this.its another dimension in handling soil that's not simply ground phase taken care of everything that at times becomes overkill ..It seems to clean up signals that phase shifting causes to be muffled or even muted. Yes Steve..I dont want anyone to think its a walk in the park on my account.I too struggled with it and still have learning to do.Its a unorthodox unit.Its quirky.The worse the soil a person has the better results he may have with it.But you dont turn it on and get blown away on inland sites.It takes time to see what its doing and how to tune it find it out.Study what you see is happening and notice things its doing other units are not doing or struggling to do on in soil targets.If a user starts to pay attention to this he will see its strongest point. What i mainly wanted to do is how should I say is LET CAT OUT OF THE BAG .The strongest point to the machine is mineral punch.Its in alot of ways like getting a P.I. machine to run in the soil like with timings etc on maybe a GPX type unit.keep it stabilized learn audio traits. The Tarsacci is collecting alot of soil DATA that's for sure.Its seeing everything mineral, rocks,Even seems ground temp changes from sunny sites to shady sites.Its using a filter to silence these things very sparingly.In my mind and only my mind (no inside info) its doing this to punch tricky soil.See it all then try to decipher it in processor.So what this does it create a machine that can get mineral ping at times even slight blow back at times from soil.Sort of a all metal discing feel.But its pretty intelligent in what it does.It just creates quirky hits.Not dead pan hits but some weird feedback.And the salt balance seems to be there to help Filter some of that quirky ping hits. This is where adapting your brain to a ping hit to a sonar echo type hit comes into play.My biggest problem was and still at times is chasing pings.Foot deep small and or bent nails.I'm used to a say VLF chirp/ping being a deep goody barely making it through.On the Tarsacci pings are rejected targets.The sonar echo sound is the legitimate hits.(Gotta have headphones on).The biggest problem a user will face inland is deciphering these reports.its not the bigger nails and up iron its the small inch long or bent stuff.the machine wants to not let those pass by if its not getting a solid read..It will lean more to trying to let them through than assign them as iron.This is it so seems not to miss iffy deep goodies.Ive also learned that deep goodies say penny sized and up dont really ping or sonar echo they become a fuzzier high tone . As far as hunting my favorite sites .thick iron.If I had started out in a site like that with the Tarsacci i would of gave up.Learn it in light iron areas first off the edge of habitation sites etc.The iron hunting for me is where i like to be.more chances in habitation areas to make more finds than random scattered through out say the woods fields .And the Tarsacci exhibits something unique in that scenario. I'm not going to say its a Deus in iron its not.But it does do one thing well and that's punch bad soil.And I've always had it in my mind if I could combat bad soils and iron mixed there's more and its not deep.Maybe just lurking 2 inches.As we know that big coil is not the best for iron site work but its pretty dang good for its size on recovery speed from one target to another.Yet its not a blending type unit so it relies on gated audio.Much like T2s CZs etc.So what I see in iron is those targets are or should of been got but the combination of bad dirt and iron leech halos shut some targets down.I'm sure they were not severely masked in terms of abundance of nails etc on top of the targets and a good machine should of already got them.its the machines ability to handle or see through the halo fusion of iron soil and iron oxides meshed.Now this is all in my head but I know what i seem to be seeing.And its a thought process I have had for along time wanting a unit to be built that would combat it somewhat.That's my biggest enemy bad dirt lots of iron.. I know the beach hunters want a large coil.I want a small coil!!!I want to fully see what this unit will do in bad iron bad dirt mix..It may not be what it was designed for?? but it has something going on in iron.It needs to be explored further. Once I knew the sound of a legitimate target to a false the unit has became very conveying in iron.Its actually less noisy than most machines in iron its just the compressed audio traits are the learning curve.A user who dissects iron with vlfs will find the Tarsacci is well behaved comparatively speaking but you have to figure the audio out. I see what the unit is doing now we have to apply it.Learn it.Dont think old school think new school.It can feel alien but its doing something.First few hours I ran it actually first whole battery charge I was so disconnected from the soil I was almost depressed about it.but let it sink in.I like to have a connection to the soil and the Tarsacci to me was Chinese talk with a poor translator..Now its starting to feel more English to me.Well maybe Brooklyn accent English..I need it to get to Southern accent English LOL..I'm joking but I'm excitedly waiting for it to become second nature to me ,become my friend. I will also add I was at a disadvantage for the first few days.I was using a Bad coil.Yet wasnt sure it was bad.BUT after I got the coil fixed and sorted out the noise I was enduring dropped dramatically.BUT the first coil had taught me somewhat how to figure out hits.once I got a PROPER coil the intelligence level went up.And the language took off.So I had a handicap to start with but it actually helped me..A user coming to the Tarsacci will not see what I saw.And actually it is not that hard to digest the audio when its running right.Sort of like a FBS unit we had to learn the language.Its different BUT IT WORK'S! Yes both triggers do the same thing.its for left or right handers.instead of having to mount the trigger in the pole in the center like on tejon they opted for under the control box and I'm sure its a engineering thing. There may be a concentric in the works but have no solid info. as far as the BlisstooI have no idea? Keith

Hi Kac! I like the X very very well! But I like about all the DeepTechs.in my soil they are nice and deep. The new design to my ears has enhanced audio traits over the other already great audio traits DeepTechs.The added second disc is nice to have if needed.Yuo push trigger forward fro second disc and pull for all metal center is first disc. What I like the moat about it is its what i wanted a Tejon to be for years but never happened. I'm an old school hunter and grew up on analog and the X just feels like an old friend to me.But has some modern twist. They may not be for everyone and especially the newer generation of hunters .To them it may seem antiquated or lacking.But if you like to hunt and dig targets without meters and even be able to hunt in more modern trash areas where the old Vistas cant then its a win win. I actually feel the X has a cleaner disc of targets Vs the Tejon.But unmask as well as the Tejon and that's hard to do .I've always considered the Tejon to be the best single tone analog unmasker made. One thing for certain is the big iron that trips up the Tejon to make you dig it will not happen as often on the X.you know big iron very easily on the X. The build quality is very good and is weather proof but not water proof. To me its a straight up analog with some modern twist .and it just flat out makes finds.And can hunt iron very very good and go very deep.and can also be used in parks etc the same as any other full disc non-metered machine you've ever used with same type outcome. It has ability to control the Receive signal through threshold control.Very NICE! The Audio is everything on the unit .very rich and nuanced with subtleties. Makes you decide instead of the machine deciding.YOU feel more at one with the soil with the unit instead of feeling like I do alot of times with some machines that your disconnected from the soil by a artificial barrier. Is it the greatest machine ever made? NO but it is a machine I ENJOY and I can make it feel right to ME.And I like the as one with the soil alot of machines dont offer as much as we move on in technology. Keith

Rectangle 23" U.S. Oval 25" Breast Plate 23"DISC POINTS WHERE JUST GONE Nickle 34 Indian Head 38.5 Z Penny 39 Copper Penny 43 Clad Dime 44.5 Silver Dime 45 Silver Quarter 46 Half Dollar 48 Silver Dollar 50 still solid Coke Can flat 45 Square tab 34 The X has very good Disc actually a sweet disc its gone when its gone on the dial just today I set my second disc on 38.5 to low/high tone a .58 caliber three ringer and hunted in a trashy area and picked some deep 3 ringers out by checking on second disc and if the tone was flip flopping I almost KNEW it was a bullet!! You can set the 2nd disc to break up (flip flop from low to high tone) on a target which I like for exactness or silence the target or accept etc.. If you dont want to hear a low tone for disc'ed items just turn the iron volume to zero.then its a single tone with full disc on either first or second disc. You can use both disc to create a notch window if you like to your exact requirements say nickles.Set first disc right below nickle and second disc right above or on edge of breaking then you have a user defined notch to check a target with . You push trigger forward to use second disc and pull for a all metal no tone accept all mode like a pinpoint.theres 2 triggers for either right or left hand operation. Machine is on 12 Volts with Drop in battery holder like say a Infinium with quarter turn door. The Gain control is the receive gain.A amplifier for the returned signal and can be tweaked for hot ground or more benign ground The Threshold is the depth/target size control and decides how weak a signal you can hear the lower you set it the more signal it takes to break though the higher you set it up to a point of say 45 the less signal it takes to over come it.even in deep woods EMI free areas you will overdrive it into instability as a sizzling chatter..Im running it right on edge of sizzle for best depth and even smallest of targets. The I've dug no big iron with the X since running it now about 25 hours.Even in my big iron sites.I hear it but know its iron by the way the tones sound even n just nail reject.of 20.And picked brass out of the sites of all shapes and sizes. Crown caps also sound ratty. The knobs are very tight and you can set them and wont bump them out of tuning..One thing to show the exactness of the disc is I can cancel a flattened beer can and still hit a Quarter Clean Keith

Hi George!!! I've found on the T2 series if you sweep faster on suspicious targets it cleans up the signal quite well..even in Mineral...almost like the T2 series has 3 filter instead of 2... I think that's why I mesh so well with the T2 series...I like to swing faster than I should and I try to calm myself down but I got used to it years ago HAVING to for depth on the early machines.. The T2 does do well on mineral...at least the + is and It may be doing better than the earlier T2's.. My 10 inch 4 bar dime is coming in nicely especially on three tone.. Yep Three tone on the T2+ is becoming my favorite mode if the dirt is above 3 bars.. and 3 tone is quite deadly in iron for unmasking Im finding on HEAVY Heavy Iron.. Watch video I've posted showing three tone on iron if you get a chance.Sort of long and rambling at times I notice after watching it myself LOL..But I hate to see people NOT notice just how good of a platform the T2 is even after a decade...T2 was a game changer and its still very much right there with the best...Great inland unit the + is..And how should I say it feels about RIGHT..Like it took a decade to get everything ironed out..Clean ,Deep,Precise.in the best Ergo package you can find and non battery hog and slew of coils to tailor it to a site. Got hold of a T2+ and at first before I received it I was scared FTP may of did something to reroute a Good thing...So I waited and wondered ...The ever evolving series of T2's throughout its life span had me in limbo not Knowing which way it would go... The original T2 I got in 2007 I believe it was upon release..And I instantly fell in love with it.Buttons were everywhere waiting on me!!..and Loved it,,all but the NOISE of EMI...but still I ran it because I KNEW what it could/would do. The The Camo LTD with bp mode and Cache Mode...a Godsend...What PUNCH or ability to airgap!!! yet MORE noise...LOL...But I KNEW what it could do... Then we got the V2 (DST) model...Quiet as a mouse where did the EMI go????Yet to me it was not SPARKY any more and seemed to have a LAG feel and the extreme depth targets would sort of just clip out instead of go to a fuzzy sound like on a non DST version.. Then we got the T2 Classic..WOW!!!!! EMI non existent and speedy,zippy,sparky!! LOVED it..Still had a bit of SLIGHT deep target signal clipping but not bad.YET no BP mode for my air-gap pinestraw prone hunts... Now we have the T2+ Ill make no qualms about it...The T2 to ME has always been a hall of famer status detector and I'm sure others know/feel this as well..Plus I just mesh with it so easily and love to use them on any iron ridden and or mixed use sites...the ID is superb and Its lite and it just plain digs Relics and loves brass..The Disc is Par excellence on the T2 as a +..One of the few VLF I can pick large brass in large iron easily and add small coil and damage some iron and or trashy mixed use sites with ease...I like to set DIsc ((on a say 100 year continuously occupied site most walk away from including me from all the assortment of trash)) up to 80 and just grab all the silver and large brass etc eerily easy. Go to a nail ridden civil war house full of iron debris and set disc on zero 2+ tones and Sift iron with small coil... Work open fields with large coils and threshold all metal and dig DEEEEEEEP.. This is what i like about a T2 a very multi use machine and steady LOCKING I.D's when you need it.. So the T2+??...Well,, and I don't say this Lightly...to me it may be the best T2 built To date...As always K.I.S.S. easy interface..same housing and rods etc..although I notice they have went back to the way the pistol grip attaches to the rod like the first ones did..and I like that..there for awhile they used the brass insert and screw to hold the handles on and they had a slight wobble the first ones with bolt and nut did not have...well the T2+ has the old school set up,, really tight no wiggle!When you turn it on its like any other T2..disc mode 60 sens and 1 tone..Change settings turn it off turn it back on and your back to the 60 sens and 1 tone..I LIKE THAT..hard reset everytime..and makes me check my settings on every hunt..Has all the T2 standard tone modes..1,1+,2+,3,3b,4,Dp and now the added BP and like on the LTD BP its two + tone only...same screen new T2+ Written across top of screen graphics..and detector is T2 classic green ( my favorite color LOL!!) Here's where things get interesting and my worrying was in vane...This T2+ is as fast as any T2 Ive used in past 11 years..and EMI free to boot...there is some sizzle spark on 99 Sens but that's the Gain not outside interference...It lightning quick!!and recovery shut down and separation is enhanced it so seems by the speed...So its fast and yes its still Deeep... Clad dime indoors Biaxial coil, 2+ tone, factory ground balance of 90 zero disc is air testing 12.75 inches..and non to jsut slight slight clipping its a modulated whisper like old days pre DST...Turn Bp on same dime is now 15 inches.So the AIR depth is as hot as any T2 I've ever ran..and the speed is as good or MAYBE? slightly faster Even Bp mode which is inherently slower seems to be quick still not as laggy as a V2 DST T2 in standard tone..And maybe a tad bit faster than non DST BP mode..I know there seems to havea tightness feel to the tone now in precise way. It almost feels like the T2+ has a faster processor or??? inside the unit...Tones are crisp and tight and the separation is quick..And that may be away they overcome some of the DST lag..just speed up the clock?? I never used Cl mode on other T2s so I don't miss it on this one and if you don't need iron volume settings and Variable tone pitch the V2 offers but want performance then think basic old school T2 with Bp only thats where youll be....and the Bp mode on this one carries over to the all metal mode as it should! I would say its everybit the T2 C. in production now yet seems more reactive and there is a slight cleanness to the tone over the C.Its just as quiet as a T2C.but with the added Bp mode for better below 3 to 4 bar dirt and or air-gap issues from sites its a welcome addition... This is workhorse unit for sure and can do very well about anywhere inland..Hate to sound to excited about the T2+ but to me its the evolved unit I've wished for...I need no notching or backlights or the likes ..Does well on my 9 inch dime in 4 bar dirt like any PROPER T2 and clips a high tone on the 10 inch dime 4 bar dirt like any PROPER T2.. I wont say its any deeper than past T2's of any model in the soil...but its as fast or faster than some models... Lets call it a PROPER clean running noise free T2..What more could you want if you need a machine that can really SITE SIFT modern/old or combo of both..There's SOME better iron sifters and there's deeper machines in certain soils But the T2+ has some excellent clean disc and quickness that overcomes its start stop audio gate to a point that it makes it hard to hunt a site then come back and not have to work hard on the site with the Iron sifters to manage more goodies. One other thing on my buried dimes the 3 tone actually has a cleaner more dig me hit ..the ten inch dime is at least 75% of the sweeps telling me to go for it..On other T2's the 3 tone never was this two tone was .. OK I like this T2+!!!LOL!!!But I always have... Keith

Thanks Steve!! I thought maybe some here would find a 30Khz detector interesting.. Its 30Khz and is sensitive to small targets Yet it has ability to still Punch the soil quite well on coin sizes...Unique in the Freq range..Yet still handles Iron very well.. The Deeptech units have a unique way of taking a analog feel from the past but giving us modern ways of reporting in terms of EXACT tone break..Iron Volume..Blazing recovery speeds..High freq..Tight DD's...Blending audio.. I'll get some more Videos up on this Gain model... I want to do a Hunt Video...and I'm anxiously awaiting the small coil for SITE work..Yet the small coil is not too far out.. The DeepTechs are every bit a world class iron site unlocker...as good as it gets..the 30Khz is a new EDGE...Yet DeepTech by Design that being the deep down DNA of the unit knows how to extract targets from soil with enough audio intelligence that the deeepies can break through and talk to you where otherwise MOST Vlfs would just cancel out the signal from heavy filtering to quieten the soil...the way the audio blends and the filters bleed it allows for targets to Peek through with a DIG me report...Set the Ground balance right and the background Soil noise will become sort of a DIN audio report..(Like background radiation)..then the things that would become hidden if that radiation report was silenced by being filtered too aggressively and not allow for the legitimate targets to break above and would be unnoticed.. The Deeptechs to me are the Perfect blending of Analog and Digital world for extracting ferrous from non ferrous.Very talkative AUDIO.. Rick... Very kind! and yes the thrill is in the hunt is it not.??The satisfaction of Knowing your equipment and PROVING your skillset honing over the decades has not been in vain..I've always looked at detecting like Golf..just you and the soil..It play's out between your ears so to speak... Thought maybe some of you gold guys might be interested in a 30khz model unit. I received my unit and have done a couple quick preliminary videos for it. Its very sensitive yet also very deep....Id be happy to answer any questions if I can? I've ran all the deeptechs Vista models and this one is the highest freq unit they have is actually the flagship. They just disc up through foil but have great old school feel audio and analog controls yet offer new way thinking in terms of tone breask and iron volume etc. Very talkative units..can paint a sonic picture of targets in your mind. The videos will give you an idea Keith

When you get the time run your MXT in relic mode and set disc at 1.9..it will give the machine some hyper boost and also have you dig everything but nails...It will reallys show you what your site is made of so to speak.. keep tracking off and set gain as high as you can and still intelligently hear a legitimate target from noise IF theres is any.. Opt for smaller than stock coil if the sites trashy too.. My favorite for 90 percent of hunting on MXT is the 6x8 SEF.. Thanks for the story Hope you find many more goodies!! Keith

I put a NEL 5 on my F19 and the memory quit working..??? Took it off started working again...about a year ago,,factory was aware of it ??Wonder if they ever ironed it out yet?? Keith
