  1. i still have a bunch of the equinox screen covers cut to fit and they work fine.
  2. I used to have a few detectors on hand years ago. Then down to 2-3 last 5 years or so. Now it will be just 1 , the deus 2. I have sold everything I don't use very often from diggers to pinpointers to extra detectors. Anymore simple is just better. I just could never imagine, nor would I ever want a bunch of metal detectors. It would be like using computers from 1997, or a radio from the 60's. I sell while value is still there and move on.. I knew some hoarders and I just have no idea what they are thinking lol. I have a few guns and knives though, and fishing equipment but things that become outdated are sold .
  3. My buddy sold his xcal, and equinox to use the deus 2 for both jobs. He is however keeping his sea hunter mark II for diving deep which he rarely does but as a just in case.
  4. Would be a good time to make a 5x9.5 solid coil. Or if the charging connection won't work for that then maybe 2 smaller batteries located on each side of coil internally.
  5. For me it was easy.. Deus 2 . For several reasons... I was kinda turned off by the sales pitch video/release as it looked unprofessional in my opinion. Also I've been reading the country Turkey itself is struggling financially. Scares me a little. Another is I love the design of the deus stem, removable remote, etc. Great reputation and best warranty..
  6. I would have to agree Steve. I was planning on buying the new legend . The company attacking or going after another company turned me off quickly. Why? Well we don't really like seeing companies bash other companies for 1, and 2 that's similar to how they treated me a few years back when my coils ears broke off the Makro racer coil. I emailed them, the asked for pics, I sent them pics and their response was your fault no warranty! So we emailed back a time or two then they stopped responding. So I did what anyone would do, I headed to the forums to let other buyers beware that the coils ears were very brittle and the company would not stand behind it. After a few days they contacted me again and asked for my address. Low and behold everyone was having the same issues with broken coil ears.
  7. That one is 15 years old or so. I still have a new unused one . Yes I wish sunray would still make them. I could take this to the Amish and they would make some I guess, but with new materials out they now make lighter weight ones that last almost as long.
  8. I've had that issue over the years. Now I can use the deus stock and not quite fully extended. I'm 6'4" with long arms. Size 17 feet. The deus feels long enough. I've used the tall man middle and it's really long and I may buy another .
  9. They sell a tall man middle rod. It's like 5" longer.
  10. I think he means if it's too slow to detect close to other targets that are deep but are on the surface then why is it wireless? 😛
  11. I wasn't asking you to. I was referring to my original post and was myself wondering what his concern was with the antenna. And I tossed out some possibilities but have no idea.
  12. So my statement started an argument? Lol. I wasn't sure what his issue was with antenna . Was it resistance innthe water? Chance of falling off? The pain of putting on? That's all in meant. I didn't start an argument lol but it is a thinner wire so in reality it should be less resistance in the water. Same difference as a smaller coil, less plastic in coil, thinner shaft like the one made by Steve for the Tarsacci . Thinner is always less resistance as long as same shape.
  13. The charging clip costs little compared to an entire carbon fiber shaft and aftermarket arm cuff and aftermarket coil ear stiffeners. There are aftermarket charging clips for $25 that will last forever. :).
  14. I've not seen anything from XP that's cheaply made. I'm betting it will be very durable. As durable or more so than standard coil cables. And the best part is you can easily repair /replace it as compared to coil cables.
  15. That skinny cable will be less resistant in the water than a standard coil cable which will be on the other water detector.
  16. The new Garrett finds pouch. I removed the belt and made belt loops like I do on all of my finds pouches. Just works better for me . Well built pouch. Made in China 😢
  17. I don't own any single frequency detectors anymore. The deus is all I have at the moment til the 2 comes out. So yeah I believe ML was right and I hope Nokta Makro hit a home run with this.
  18. I think it's perfect. In line with competition and less money on a proven design. Win win for everyone.
  19. These 2 are digger supply pouches. I also have 2 older Sun Ray leather Amish made pouches.
  20. This is the digger supply pouch. Pack mule size. And one of my older Sun Ray leather Amish made pouches. Velcro doesn't work as good so I cut center and slid small magnets in each side and now works amazing.
  21. This is the digger supply pouches. He used to take orders on the forum but became too big and busy taking orders so he found a place that would sell them for him and now he makes 2 models in several colors at his pace. I have 3 of them. 2 pack mules and a park ranger. Best pouches period.
  22. It looks like a solid made pouch. I just hate when they permanently attach the belt. I would rather have drop down belt loops so the pouch hangs just below waistline. Much more comfortable. Ive tried relic elite pouches , a few different models he makes. Well made but did not hang below waist and belt was permanently attached. I have a couple older leather pouches that are super nice and digger supply pouches are the best. Here is a pic. These are not only well made but well thought-out. They will outlast you.
