  1. Yes I have the arm cuff fully extended in the last hole. But if you need more then this way works great. And if you want since this upper is replaceable you could drill holes in the plastic to make more adjustments. See pics. You could gain another 1.5 -2 inches just by drilling 2 holes. The deus is the best at mods like this.
  2. I know that all too well. 6'4" 3XL hands size 17 shoes finding a truck with leg room and foot room is a chore.
  3. 53". That's top of coil to end of arm cuff fully extended. But this is an S-shaft so it should not have to be quite as long as a straight shaft for same fit. The straight shaft for me needs to be longer than this. But this is fine for me .
  4. I can measure my deus. Where from coil to arm cuff fully extended? Or bottom of coil to back of grip?
  5. This is another way with the deus shaft to gain more length to arm cuff. Just move the upper arm shaft back one screw hole and it adds over an inch. The simplex lower rod is slightly to small in circumference. But if you bought a standard or tall man center for for the deus then you would have a longer upper to make a better setup for longer armed guys.
  6. I imagine you could buy a carbon fiber lower rod for a simplex since it's the same shape. Cut to length, drill holes where needed etc. I have a couple of those lower rods so I may try that.
  7. The length of the deus front of grip to rear of arm cuff ..ORX is 11+ inches almost 11.5. The deus fully adjust back is 11.5 inches. By comparison the tarsacci max adjustment was 9.5". That was like the Garrett ace and AT series where the arm cuff hit middle of forearm. I hate that because that ruins the balance in the detector. All factory shafts should be long enough on both ends to accommodate taller longer arm people. They would still be plenty adjustable for shorter people. I'm 6'4" so not super tall but it's been hard over the years to find detectors that were adjustable enough. Makro did not make tall man rods.. Fisher talk man rods were super long lol. Etrac tall man rods only were 1.5" longer and $63 each! Whites and Garret were too short The deus is actually long enough for me on the coil side and I would love another inch or so on the cuff side but I can deal with it the way it is.
  8. Yeah that's all I meant, not a direct duplicate. I do think they make good detectors. I haven't connected really well with most of them. Not like my deus or equinox. I did order the new deus 2 and may order the new legend next summer after some guys gets their hands on them. Time will tell.
  9. Why do in feel like Nokta Makro copy other manufacturers? This new one has alot of similarities of the equinox. The simplex I feel had alot of similarities to the deus, Fast mode (park 2) deep (park 1) pitch mode (field) same shape shaft. The lower rod on the simplex fits in the deus and it's an odd shape. No other manufacturers use that shape for the shaft as far as I know. So I'm guessing they copy electronics also which is why they can get new detectors to market faster. Change some cosmetics, copy electronics and bam new detector. The first ones were alot like Fisher, now nox with deus in between. Lol. Am I wrong?
  10. I think videos are already made and will be released when detector is ready to sell.
  11. I guess if you look at the 3 way plug on the deus that comes with detector, it in itself is a reminder to charge more than 1 component. There are alot of detectors I really like, the equinox is one of them, especially for the beach. But even with having to charge the coil, remote, and ws4 , I still appreciate it's collapsible shaft, light weight, S-shaft and quality of build, and now waterproof to 65 ft, and performance over any other. I have a feeling the FMF deus 2 will be at least on par with equinox . So with everything else I just listed ,that will put the deus 2 above the equinox . My opinion only.
  12. Don't forget about charging pinpointer, gas in the truck, water etc lol. This has to be a joke right ? The deus is no more trouble than changing 8 AA batteries all the time and needing 9 volts for tesoro and pinpointer. It's way less trouble for me to charge a few things instead of running out and buying batteries. Just my opinion
  13. Lol yeah if the deus II does not live up to my expectations then I will grab a nox 600 for the beach. With the softer tone option and the simultaneous multi-frequency it may just surprise me.
  14. Well where I live running equinox had emi on multi, 5/10/15 and was alot better on 20/40.. deus all 11 and above was fine.
  15. I see it this way... XP makes a better built product. Stronger shaft, coil ears, arm cuff, etc. Better warranty 5 years vs 3... The only place my equinox did better over my deus was the wet sand beaches. I feel the deus is lighter, better balanced and actually less prone to emi over equinox. So with that said, I sold my equinox and 2 other detectors and will be trading in my deus for the deus II. I live just a few miles from the gulf beaches , I like simultaneous multi-frequency and fully expect XP to put out a fantastic detector. New waterproof headphones, different ways to use the deus like using ws6 puck as the display and pairing wsa II headphones with the ws6 as a cheaper alternative. I'm hoping they use the 9.5x5 coil mold for a new black FMF coil.
  16. I'm hoping the coil and the remote have a waterproof connection for use of a threaded coil wire to connect the coil to remote for water hunting. If not water hunting just leave wire off.
  17. Is there any way to make the upper shaft longer to go back to elbow more? As it stands now it only goes midway and make the coil feel like it's very heavy. The control head needs moved down the shaft about 1/2" so it's not so hard to get my thumb on the buttons lol
  18. Wow! I have stopped using USPS for shipping anything. They could mess up a wet dream. Sorry for your troubles.
  19. I have 2 sets of Tony Eisenhower headphones. But only use them close to water. Amazing headphones. I use the stock equinox headphones with my nox, and tarsacci . I bought a tiny bluetooth receiver that I velcro'd to back of control housing . I like being wireless. I like this because in the warmer months in the deep south I can use wireless Bluetooth ear buds and they sound great .
  20. Oops. Funny thing about the internet it's so hard to tell lol. I call everyone guys, you guys those guys etc. I need to change the way I do things. My post was just supposed to be funny. Chase gives alot of great info and sometimes I think he/she is too smart and goes into detail where I see it and kind of chuckle . My mind works on more of a simple platform lol perception is everything. Chase sees questions I think as algebra problems lol I look at 3 words out of 10 lol I was a foster parent 15 years, adopted 2 teen boys, and helped over a hundred kids and families over the years. But the foster care agency and I were on opposite ends of the spectrum for a couple years on things like kids and accidents like scraped knees and elbows. They wanted me to write a report on everything that is an emergency. Well scraped knees to me is not an emergency lol. I retired from Dept of Corrections where I seen murder, rape, stabbings etc. So perception to me is different than I'd say most. This was a bad example but it's all I got lol
  21. Lol. One guy asks questions, another tries his best to answer, a third says the second guy is all wrong and he doesn't even own one , writes a book , and second guy ends up correct. All joking aside I understood what original poster was asking because I seen Aaron post that chart before and I screen shot it. It's a little confusing and I really don't pay much attention to it. I dig til Target is out of the ground.
  22. I do not know if the coiltek 5x10 is without cover. I was quoting you on your weights. But changed them to ounces. I did weigh my stock 11" without cover.
