  1. This a very sad time as John B will truly be missed by all who knew him-He put some people on to the biggest nuggets they ever found Including Robbery A as he named him.I first met JB about 30 years ago I was out hunting for gold in the middle of quartzite when I bumped into him and he was not only funnier than you know what especially when he razzed people but a real wealth of knowledge.Rip my friend 😞
  2. If light weight and simplicity is what your looking for go with the 6000 or the new Garret-If you change your mind and want complete control I have 5000 with extras I might sell you and I live in scottsdale as well-Let me know Good luck
  3. Does it something to do with where they are assembled -Hmmmmmmmm
  4. I owned a couple of the beepers in the Cz family and they were deep and sure made my nickel count go up-they loved silver and nickels-IMO Very solid beepers for coins
  5. I have one of the old ones you made -why didnt you put the sun viser on it
  6. Have you tried Fine Gold-I have found gold under a Grain in hot ground with my 5 and thats small enough for me-I havent used a 6 or a Ax yet or even my 5 in 2 to 3 years do to my health but hopefully plan to do so again-so for now all I can do is watch the forums and vids until then-whats the smallest you found with the 6 ? PS-I tried the cordless blue tooth set up years ago and didnt like the lag but since they came out with the low latency I thought Id give it a try again .
  7. Ive watched alot of Vids about the 6 and so far Im not impressed enough to go out and dump 6 k on it-I know my 5 could find everything Ive seen so far depth and size and i like having complete control over my settings-hell there is so many ways to run the 5 for many different conditions-sure I hate being tethered to a cable and battery but to me thats the only down fall-Im buiilding a battery pack for it now that will stick on the side of it and get rid of the battery brick and cable and do blue tooth for the audio now that its low latency-Maybe alot of the X Gpx users that switched over and finding more gold didnt know how to set the Gpx series up correctly-I have a question why didnt Minelab just put the 5 in a smaller package and keep all all the adjustability and make it so you could use all your old coils ? I have been eyeing the Axium it looks like a better fit for me with more settings than the 6 has but Im going keep using the 5 and see what Fisher and Nokita come out with-
  8. Thx for the comparison Lunk and for 2K cheaper-more control and just as sensitive as ????? No brainer
  9. IMO I think the owners of the forums should precipitate as well which I see a lack of
  10. All the forums have been getting slower and slower except for this one-it doesnt seem like the owners care about them anymore-seems like social media has taken the front seat which I dont do
  11. I dont see any ads because I have a ad blocker
  12. I personally like the black look better- I sold my whites 24 k but the guy only wanted the stock coil setup so if anyone is interested in a 6 inch concentric with cover and a 4x6 coil with cover both lighty used-Ill let them both go for $300 shipped in the lower 48 PM me here if interested-Thx PS- will also trade for a nuggetfinder 17 elliptical evo mono coil or a 15 rnd evo mono coil
  13. Just remember the older tech deeper beepers will and most of the time get the Lions share of most patches only leaving little bits for the new tech deeper beepers
  14. Extra maybe this isnt helping matters out either- https://www.dnaindia.com/science/report-massive-solar-storm-heading-towards-earth-at-16-million-kmph-may-impact-cell-phone-gps-signals-2900067
  15. Usually switching to a smaller mono coil or DD coil on the older units does away with alot of the EMI Opps wait the 11 inch mono is the smallest coil and might be for some time sorry 6000 users
  16. -if I didnt already have a 5000 I would probably buy the 6000-From what Ive seen from everyone posting their finds-other than I like the 6000 package as far as weight and none tethered to any cables it doesnt seem to be any better depth wise or anymore sensitive than my 5000-if it is its minute -the 6000 doesnt seem to be really cleaning up on the old patches either-a couple of nuggets here and a couple of nuggets there-not worth the $6000 bones to me-when I got the 2300 same thing a couple here and there and sometimes none and man was it noisy-I'll just wait for some more new and improved coiltek or nuggetfinder coils to hit the market-
