Had a great trip on business, visiting family, and some remote prospecting. Got a couple ounces of chunky stuff with Minelab 6000 and Garrett 24K. Weather a bit cool and wet, but otherwise all went well.
Thank you Hugh for watching over things. It got easier I suppose after the site went down! That I never considered as a real possibility as it’s only happened a few times in eight years. Oh well, back up again now.
I’m back on the job here again daily, but will be a bit scarce on posts as I have quite a bit going on this fall. But when needed, I’ll be there. I hope you’ve all got good things going on in your respective worlds, and thanks for making the forum what it is.
Steve: no matter where you go, there you are! However, in this case; Here you are!!!!

I had good fines recovery by putting Daisy Mat in the main riffle section. Use a black marker to show where the riffles set, then a razor knife to cut the mat fingers out so the riffles will touch the mat. Nothing fine will get out, but larger material will work on out. Also, 8" ABS pipe with end caps make good durable flotation. If you need more you can pack it with foam pellets, or foam blocks to help. Good luck, and remember that fines will pay for a lot of expenses, esp, at todays spot price.

It's where the majority of sales are. That simple. They also have to get as big a jump on the counterfeiters as possible, so the early sales in Africa are all important in that regard.

When they decided to sell the Gold Monster in the U.S., you'd think they'd have put in a standard rod and 12V charger. But that would have slowed things down, and somebody pointed out people would probably buy it anyway, so why bother. That's kind of what we are down to with this. Actually, in my opinion White's made a better Gold Monster in the 24K due to that oversight, but unfortunately it was too little, too late for White's. And now even that option is gone, though hopefully not forever.
AhHa: 2nd place is equal to 1st last place. US sales ain't exactly mashed-potato's Minelab!!! Get real!!

Phrunt; Actually some slight surface rust is desired, it creates a rough surface to slow down the flour gold. A pretty gold pan is somewhat like people, it doesn't work as well as one thats aged a bit!!!

Ben died several years ago, knew him when he would summer around Brandy City and Eureka diggings near Indian Valley in Sierra Co. Calif. For the Winter he would head south to Yuma area to dry wash, and get some free lodging courtesy of the Yuma Police Dept.. Ausome

I am surprised that Too Tall, feels that it is okay to detect on claims that he
does not own. In my case, I have several claims below Dvle on the N. Yuba that
I pay local Sierra Co. taxes on, plus BLM filing fees, annually. If you were to choose
to detect, or otherwise, remove gold on a claim without permission, that would
make you a thief clear and simple. Formerly, such actions were dealt with in very
clear ways. Nowdays, theft is an acceptable way of getting what is not yours.
