  1. I mainly use F2 so i can turn it off when nugget hunting. I said I use both because I leave the Fe at its default setting when using other modes. Honestly I really need to learn more about this setting but just have not yet taken the time because I have been successful with the defaults!
  2. I use 3 options. Bluetooth headphones when in the park or places I don't want others to hear me but don’t mind not hearing what is around me. Wired in when at the beach just because of the water proof headphones. I like to be able to rinse off the salt and sand. If they were BT I would not wire them directly. The main speaker i use for nugget hunting, but would prefer a wireless speaker to attach closer to my ears. This is my most preferred method. I like that I can hear the environment around me when out in field.
  3. I would like one of these for the GPZ please JP. 🙂 Money in hand.
  4. Well sorry buddy. Hopefully you (and Lunk) will still want to come out one day and I can put you on a nugget. We can try out the new coils! 🤣
  5. Agreed and hence the hesitation on my part. I think I am just winter bored and want new toys🤣
  6. I am really curious how the 15" will be compared to the 15 x 12 for beach detecting. That is really all I use the 15 x 12 for and it sure gets tiring swinging that all day and in the shallow water. I still use the Excal for chest water (10"). I only get to water/beach hunt though for 2-3 weeks out of the year when I visit my folks in FL. Still looking for the TC Spanish Real! 😁
  7. I pulled the trigger on the 10x5. On the Equinox forum thread, Myers Metal Detectors has them for $219 which includes taxes and shipping. I called and spoke to the guy and asked all those questions. He also said he has only had 1 pre-order on the 10x5 so I would be the first in line to get one. He has already sold a bunch of 15" so the wait might be longer. Said they would be available in March. Sorry Gerry 😞
  8. Well hmmmm. I swear i read about that. Oh well guess I could sell off the Nox15 and get Coiltek’s 15” and just have the best of both worlds without question. Really want the 10x5, could have used it yesterday at one of the old hydro pits.
  9. I was under the impression that the equinox is kind of a different beast and that coil size is more for coverage, not so much for greater depth. I thought I read other users saying that they were getting the same depth with the 6 inch coil the 11 and the 15 but I might be wrong it’s been a while since I’ve read that.
  10. Is it just me or why would you need the 14 x 9 or the 15 inch round when Minelab already has a 15”. What would be the difference in performance or usability?
  11. Thanks JP! Wanna put all that in a video with real world examples and add it to my thread? 😊😊 🙏. I realize that is probably a ton o work so I’m really not expecting that. 😂
  12. Thanks jasong! Maybe since I can’t find an all in one video we could collect many videos to this thread and have a one stop shop. I also got thinking that if we have all this information that more people out there with a Z could definitely experiment and get better which might provide better analysis/comparison with the X6 when it comes out. Some people might not be using their Z to the maximum extent (myself included) and therefore have a different experience thinking that the Z is not as good as the X6 or vice versa. I think I’m one of the odd people. I came into this game right when the Z came out and I bought an SDC at the time because that is all I could afford (used for 1800, stellar deal now probably back then too). So I have never used the 4500 or 5000 or any of the earlier detectors. So the Z for me has always been a brand new experience. I have had really good success with the Z but I want to be even better with it! I just don’t have the time to practice as much as I would like so in the off-season I need to be reading, learning and researching. Thanks and keep’em coming!
  13. And Covid fever 🤣🤣 edit: meaning isolation after I wrote that I thought maybe some might think I had Covid. 😬
  14. 89 views and counting.......nothing 🤣. Atleast I know my research was accurate. Looks like I’m gonna have to do an intense forum search and pick out everything I can.........or I can be researching more gold areas instead 😂. Winter sucks!
  15. I’ve done a bunch of research online and I just can’t seem to find this. Does anybody know if there is a detailed video on each of the menu items/settings for the GPZ along with examples in real world environments? I realize that when I’m out in the field now, after continually reading this forum, that I kind of stick to the same settings that I’ve been using for a long time (except for changing between high-yield and general, as well as normal and difficult). It’s winter time, I am bored and I’d like to learn more on my GPZ 🤣🤣. Even if this is not a YouTube video and it’s some thing I can purchase I’d be willing to do that as well!
  16. I would not mind using the SPO1 more. I bought one a along time ago. Back when they were $200 LOL. However I never use it I’m actually thinking about selling it, not because I don’t like it but I just don’t like having all the extra cords. I like the WM12 and it just hooks to my shirt. If I have to use the SPO1 then I need to have the WM12, that and another speaker. It’s just too much. Now if they made one that just would replace the WM12 all as one I would buy it. I did suggest that a while back, I was hoping maybe they were making one.
  17. Idk yet. I want to see/hear some comparisons and real world experience. Unless i hit the next GameStop stock craze 🤣
  18. I am cranking it right at 4. 5 for me and it becomes too wobbly.
