  1. I would not mind using the SPO1 more.  I bought one a along time ago. Back when they were $200 LOL. However I never use it I’m actually thinking about selling it, not because I don’t like it but I just don’t like having all the extra cords. I like the WM12 and it just hooks to my shirt.  If I have to use the SPO1 then I need to have the WM12, that and another speaker. It’s just too much. Now if they made one that just would replace the WM12 all as one I would buy it. I did suggest that a while back, I was hoping maybe they were making one.

I do think for serious prospectors, the 6000 will seemingly give them a measure of portability for searching a wider range of new possibilities than lugging that brick of a 7000. People like Jason will be big beneficiaries of that jump in ergonomics with less weight while not losing much in detecting power.

This is what i do with the SDC.  Fold it up and hike in, then bring the artillery back when needed.

  3. I tried to get on the new MLRS today and it did not even load.  What I do like about it though, supposedly you can click on the claim and actually have a PDF file of the location certificate, which should include a map, come up, especially since most claims are not 1/4 1/4 1/4 sections.  Although my friend just tried to stake a claim and he cannot follow 20 acres along the creek anymore, he actually had to make it a square to fit in the PLSS system. Anyone else see this?

  4. So I think that this detector might be geared more to the Middle East area and one reason is the shaft length.  If you look up the average height for people in that region it’s right around 5’ 6” to 5’ 8”.  But if you take a look at people that live in areas that are further north, such as Europeans, they are around 5’ 10” to 5’ 11”.  Just an observation.

  5. Not surprising.  If you can only have an 11 inch and a 17 inch coil then that makes the SDC with the 8 inch still relevant for sale. And it gives the GPZ, which I know is different technology, a 13 inch and a 19 inch. Pretty sure ML is saying that if you want different coil sizes you have to buy different detectors 🤦‍♂️
