  1. are you sure its backcountry navigator? It seems to get terrible reviews
  2. It seems they never want to tell you where the roads are. Or They just don’t know all the roads they have LOL. Best thing that I use is an air photo to show me where the roads are.
  3. Awesome and congrats Gerry to your bro! With coil size on the EQ I think it does not matter with depth. I have read a few articles that think that too. On the beach I have given up using the 15 because I was still finding quarters 18in down with the 11. I’m not kidding you either. Much easier and better control with the smalls.
  4. It’s funny I really want to find a reale because it was what got me detecting to begin with. I only get to try 2 weeks out of the year and have tried over the last 8 years! What is funny is finding nuggets is way more lucrative for me then that roughly $30 reale but I just want one and then I’m gonna make a necklace with it surrounded with a bunch of my nuggets 😂. Might have to add the tack now to that necklace 😂😂
  5. I went friday and saturday and made the blog with my tack find LOL http://treasurebeachesreport.blogspot.com/2020/02/22320-report-treasure-coin-finds-and.html?m=1 I had to giggle when i found it. It was square with other copper bits around but I giggled cause i find tacks all the time nugget hunting! Just not 1715 wreck tacks 🤣🤣
  6. How do people set up their stuff? I have an SPO1 that I used to use with my SDC. I tried it once with my GPZ and still did not like having all the extra gear and wires. The whole point of going wireless is to have just one speaker clipped. When I tried to hook it up I had to go from the WM 12 with a cord to the SP01 plus more cords for an external speaker or headphones. It’s like gearing up with even more stuff when I’m trying to be more minimal and reduce weight and gear to carry. If we all want a lighter detector, we should also ask for a wireless booster with external speaker, and have like the WM 12 in size.
  7. The first thing that I noticed was that all of the Nuggets were on the west side of that main wash. I would have to believe that there should be some good nuggets in that wash too. Maybe it was just to deep for the detector. Awesome mapping! (And of course....nugget finding)
  8. I’m thinking combine the two concepts. Use the mining sieves but use the foam and zips for the floatation!
  9. The one thing that I don’t like about lead is that sometimes it looks like gold that has quicksilver all over it
  10. Woozers did you just heat up a coffee can and dump it all in LOL
  11. New pic! Looks like it is a 12" Fingers crossed for the hope of other sizes, like 10 or 8! With that pressure valve I am now wondering if they might not be waterproof.
  12. I’m curious how many people are willing to spend $8000 again? Unless minelab is offering some type of trade-in program LOL
  13. I had a lady come up to me and asked me what I was doing when I was on the beach a couple years ago. I told her I was metal detecting and then she got up tight and asked me if that would hurt all of us at the beach. 🤦‍♂️ I had an LOL moment
  14. The announcement was also on their Facebook page. I have also emailed them and asked to be put on a mailing list for updates on this if they have one.
  15. 2 dollar bills are rarely used. We tried coins multiple times, just hasn't taken off. Nobody wants to carry a change purse since dollars still have some value here.
  16. I use locate patch when being thorough. Like you posted the keywords are “patient” and “methodical.” Two anyone can practice even when not detecting.
  17. That is super helpful to know! Thanks for sharing this knowledge and experiences!
