Reintroduction Of The Minelab GPX 4500
auminesweeper replied to Steve Herschbach's topic in Minelab Metal Detectors
I Ordered one the Price was good for our standards @ only £2500.00, But I decided Not to go with it because I need that Relic Mode, I loved my GP 3500 but it did punish me on more than one occasion, If I had access to Desert Gold then it would be A Done Deal, But not to worry, They Are still A Fantastic Machine, John -
I was using google earth checking out places from yesteryear and just my Luck this happened, I posted it else where so some of you might of seen it before, Biggest Drone I have ever seen, lol I Think it was Jim Hemmingway Scouting My Secrete Patch, John
-
I Like them as they are, but the choice is yours, If I want to keep some thing looking natural I have used PVA Glue and 70% water and spray it, The Reason Being is if I change my mind I can just soak it in water for a few Hours and get a Soft Tooth Brush and get it off, BUT DON'T use the waterproof PVA glue and Life will Be Good, Hope this helps and give you another Choice, Take Care,, John

Art, that looks like a great place to be, lets hope you can make a Regular thing, But with food that good you better eat first to work off those calories, A VLF would be my choice to investigate the place, after that the Gloves are Off, lol Cool Mate thanks for sharing, john
-
Cool Mate just as long as you are well, just don't go over doing it

In Parts of Australia My mate took the MXT where he was having trouble with his GPX 5000 because of junk and Hot Rocks and he was getting GB readings of 95 to 96 and he still found 2 nice little Nuggets, As for magnetic Ground that wont be a problem I have Balanced out Magnetic Truck Signs, it's the minerals that are a pain, hope this helps,,john

It's Well Deserved Mate, Your Honesty has Fast Tracked Many A Person on to Bigger and Better Things and Opened a lot of minds, I don't mean to make you Blush, But that List is a lot Bigger than you, So I Thank You For That, John

Tesoro Tejon For Nugget Detecting
auminesweeper replied to auminesweeper's topic in Compass, D-Tex, Tesoro, Etc.
Yes I see what you mean,, The Gold bug would be a better option, I had not thought of that one purely because I was looking to see if Tesoro had another Machine that was not Limited by the Ground Balance system and someone had asked me about the Light weight Machines john -
Steve I have just been reading your Review about the Lobo and the Lobo Super Traq, Now the Lobo has Manual Ground Balance and the Lobo Super Traq had Auto GB and it has built in pre set Ground Balance setting, To me Tesoro are Rock solid in the fact they have A Life time Warranty and the KHZ seems to be in the right place, In the UK they Got Tesoro to tune them for the UK because we needed a lower disc Range and they are Sold under the Name of Laser and the Laser Hawkeye even Has A Screen on it But it Runs at 10khz, One thing I do Know is Before XP came along Over here Tesoro and Laser were the Top Dogs when it came to finding Hammered Coins and to tell you the Truth I still have doubts if any machines can beat them at finding Hammered coins, And if people were to come over here I would suggest that they Bring one of them with them or my Old Faithful and what would be the US equivalent Model, See here:- http://www.detecnicks.co.uk/Laser_Hawkeye.html So Seeing as the Tejon runs at 17.5khz and it has Manual GB and the Tejon with the Pro Upgrade has Auto GB as well surely these might be a Better option, Or does the GB not have enough Range Adjustment to suit Prospecting, The weight of the Tejon would Suit A lot of Older Gentlemen Like VanursePaul Norvic and Fred of coarse, with the weight of 1.43 kgs or 3 Lbs to me these Machines would suit those of us that suffer Back and Shoulder problems, How does any of this relate to your findings, Thanks Mate John.

Detecting The Ovals
auminesweeper replied to Goldieheaven's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
Well I got an email listing about A Dozen pictures and when I got here there was None -
That's What I did Fred, But I used a full threaded wood Screw, Hope it will stay Put, But I made the Handle Slide In Very snugly about 3/4s of the way and the rest of the way I gave it A Hug with the Hammer and Once the Glue had Gone Off I then Put the Screw In, So Hopefully the Gorilla Glue will work As Good as it did for Rick, john
-
Cool, It worked then, lol Then you have to mash the Lid just because you need to use it, then have to throw it away after,. john

That would put the Brakes On any other Ideas that Sprung to mind that would explain why Edward Scissor Hands was Single,
-
When I use to work for the British Aero Space Building Commercial Air Craft they use to use 2 epoxy's one was called Redux 420 and the MEGA Strong one was Called Redux 460 Both were 2 part epoxy resins, But this Gorilla Glue is pretty impressive, john
-
I bet it wont break where the Glue Is Again, Actually I just had A Brain Wave?? What about Painting the Stand with A few Coats of the Glue, That might Beef it up A bit and prevent it from Cracking even if it has not Cracked Before Just As A Precaution, ?? JOhn

Its Good Stuff, But keep your cloths well clear of it and wear gloves coz it don't come off, It behaves like that expanding foam in Glue form and Dries hard in A few hours and the next day its Rock hard and its 100% waterproof according to the Label, it Sticks wood Iron/steel and Masonry/Bricks,., Just don't make a mess with it in the House coz the Cook will Have you're Hide, When you first Glue it wipe of any excess asap with a Wet Cloth Not Tissue Paper, John
