Well that's a shame about the coils, otherwise they would fly out the Door, I have only seen one thread on this machine at whites and I think they don't do enough to promote their products around the world, I got asked why Whites did not Advertise their machines Virtues Like depths, Speed etc, and all I could say was Maybe they don't want to make claims and have someone Call Foul, Which Makes it hard for Dealers because people are always Skepticle about Them. That Cam Lock issue really Bugs me, I hate shafts that Rattle, I would have to buy another shaft kit from whites and fix that, But then that would drive up the overall Cost. John

I know my machine has been around for a few years now but this Latest format seems the hottest yet, I asked whites about it and they never tell you much and the info I got was more of a Coded Message than a statement, All I Know is it see's 1.0 grain pickers at 1 to 2 inches and a 0.34 gram Picker at 6 to 7.5 inches and it can see my hand between 4 to 6 inches+, And all of them Lead Test Pieces I used for testing my GMT My MXT can see them, so I know they have been hot rodding these machines, John

I just weighed this coil and it weighs 1047.25 gram which is about 2 and a 1/4 pounds, and I weighed it on my million Dollar Scales, The 8X14 Longscan Sierra Max weighs 749.57 with the coil cover So there is not that much in it.

Yes Steve, It is a Fair weather Coil, In the respect of Mineralization, Luckily 90% of my place's The GND reads 64 and Below So I hope that is low enough to use it, I want to use it on that site where I found those remains of A Roman Villa, I Went over the Area with the 12" coil for a while but changed to the 950 coils after about 2 weeks of that, So I am going to Take it easy with this monster, Due to health reasons, But if I chip away at it I should be fine, If It Works.

Even worse when the whole set up costs around $1000 +/- A $100. lol I would be worried about digging how far this Beastie can See, I just tried it on An 0.06 gram test nugget and it see's it at about 3 to 4 inches, It will see big things at over 6 feet. Oh I Love Toys, I like the fact it is a Concentric and So I don't think much will match it in Mild to Medium Ground,

G'day Folks, Today I Bought the 15" MXT MAX Coil, I tested it on 0.12 gram Nuggets and it see's them easy between 4 and 6 inches and Coke cans at over 4 Feet, It seems to give you about an Extra 25% more Depth which is Good Because I have Gridded my sites with the 12" / 300 Coil, I have No Doubt this coil will see Smaller Items than 0.12grams so just because it is Big doesn't mean I am loosing sensitivity So I am Happy about that.
