  1. Chances are It Just Might fit, Ask Steve, I think he owns both??
  2. That's very True, It's just part of the Crazy world we Live In, It's sad them doing this to Minelab But when ever someone has something Special someone wants to Rip it Off.
  3. Best 4x4 I had in OZ was my CJ5 with A Falcon 200 motor in it, Struth it was fast But Off Road it was like a Dozer, ya Couldn't stop the Thing.
  4. Ya Need a Good Feed that Morning to stop ya Ribs From Chaffing together, lol john
  5. Unlike the US most of Australia's Roads are around the Edge near the coast, when you head in land you can drive all day and never see another soul,, You can Take campers out there But you just have to take it easy, But You Need a Caravan/Camper Trailer Like This One if you want The Deluxe Tour, lol This is A Mild version of the Terrain that you will come Across,,Enjoy,, john https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTYJC01YxeM&index=15&list=PLb507Hf9sl9iKUCwW0PDtiGYQcNenB840
  6. Geeze Fred, I don't think I've Been on one that Good, I think the worst one I found was Heading for the Snowy Mountains, Lucky enough I had just Put Up rated and Raised springs For the Diesel Model of my Truck and HD Shocks, and BFG's MT's or I would never of made it, I also Carry 2 winches and A Hi Lift Jack Too.
  7. These Guys Can't Afford The Latest and Greatest, They are Going to have to Rough It with the Old 7000, 7005 Life At The Top,,,,, Mighty Impressive.
  8. No One Has To Apologise For MineLab, That's Their Job, All That Is Important is will they Fix it and When, If it Breaks a Dozen Times It does not matter as Long as they Fix it We Can't Ask For More Than That and in the mean time No Doubt they will be Working on an Up Grade to Fix the Issue giving everyone More impact resistant Housing.
  9. Wicked Mate, Sounds Like A Plan, Keep up the Good work, I'm really enjoying watching this unfold, Your Getting better results every Trip. John
  10. WTG Nugget65, Proud of ya Mate, Well Done, Seems like you got it running spot On. what depth was that One, it looks like you dug down a fair bit. John
  11. It Just goes to show what type of people they are. I won't post my thoughts As Last Time it did not go down well,
  12. I just found this Post on P.A. About how china hacked Minelab Through and Employee's LapTop while they were staying In A Hotel In china while using their WiFi. https://au.news.yahoo.com/technology/a/28544385/metal-detector-firm-counts-cost-of-hacking/
  13. Once you get off the beaten track the Dirt Roads are corrugated and they will shake A Camper Apart unless it's made for off Road use, Normally I use to use A Toyota LandCruiser Troopy Because once you leave them Dirt Roads It's more Like The Rubicon Trail and then smooths out A Bit Like Yellow Stone. But you can wreck a set of Tyres In A Day if your not Careful.
  14. Hahahahahaha,,,, I'm not feeling the Love here, lol,, john
  15. That Is A Real Nice Coil and I am Really tempted to Grab the Racer and that Coil. Thanks for posting it.

  17. Dare I say It, But that's about the Nicest Finished Coil I have seen In A long While and the mounting point is set a little further back than normal, That's real Handy when poking them under scrub and such. Do they come with Covers or is that extra?? John.
  18. Steve has No Brand Loyalty, When It comes to his Passion, For Him it's about the Bush and the Hunt and the Fact that The Next Bleep might just be a Trophy Nugget, Which Is Why you can Depend On Him and His Views, All Machines and Detectors or D9 Dozers are are just tools to him, ( He Loves That D9 ) I have Known Steve for quite A few Years and Vice Versa, So don't take Offence by what he says to me because He Knows that I do Tend to over Think Things. John.
  19. I am Sorry To Hear That, I am sure MineLab will Take Care Of You, But This Is The One And Only Problem of this type That has happened Out of Thousands that have been Sold So No Need to worry, Good Luck,,
  20. Scott, I use to Build Commercial Aircraft Interiors and when ever they want to Boost the strength of something they would Add Layer a thin Sheet of Hard Carbon Fibre to it with Glue, Maybe if you Stick a Strip of that to the Underside of the Mount That will Beef it Up by about 150 Times its Own Strength and it won't Happen Again. But If you Do, Make sure you wear Goggles and Gloves when you cut it With either Tin Snips or a Hack Saw Because if you get any splinters from it Your Body Can Not Reject Them Because of it's Purity, Once you have cut out the shape you want you can use A Sanding Block or A Bench Grinder to Trim It Up as Needed, Hope This Helps,, John
  21. I wasn't Going to reply, But as for Being A Rabid Owner of A Rival Brand,, Thanks, Here's what you Don't Know:- So Far To Date I have Owned In This Order, Minelab Musketeer Advantage, GP 3500, Sovereign GT, The Etrac and the Quatro, Being Australian I Bought everything else that Had A MineLab Logo On It, From Shirts to Ball Caps by the Box Load, to Back Packs etc, Plus Coils and Battery Packs and about every Accessory they ever came out with, I must have spent well over 20K on minelab Products Retail. I would go out and Buy these Two Machines Tomorrow If it was not for Certain Issue's, That's A Bit Harsh Mate. See Ya .
  22. Ok Steve, I don't see as stirring the Pot, Sorry About That, I did not realize that we are not supposed to comment unless we Own them. It won't Happen Again.
  23. The thing is the ZED is the most expensive Nugget Machine ever produced and seeing as it cost between 10700 to 16.6k depending where you buy it, One Fault is One Too Many, and it is 4 times more than any of its Competitors and because of it's Cost, I think it is an insult when bits keep falling off or Breaking, I have An old Micronta 4003 Detector that I bought form Tandy's for my Son In 1997 and Guess what, It's still in One Piece and Still Works. I think they should Recall them and fit new Housings, Because some of the people have blown all their savings or got bank Loans etc and got into debt to Own one of these Machines because of the 40% Depth Claim and at the Rate of the Problems between the ZED and the SDC I doubt if many will still be working by time some folks have paid off their Loans, That wont happen with My Machines or The GPX's
  24. Mind you, It most Likely weighs a bit more than the CTX and was perfect for the intended purpose, I would not run my machines without covers on anyway and the good thing about that is it adds weight to the top end of the machine so it helps a little with the Balance, John
  25. Yep, I would have thought that seeing as its soul purpose is to be used in Rough Surroundings That the covers would be made more flexible.
